Good Squire, keep searching! I've been watching a few of the oldies again, and they still surprise me with scenes and nuances that seem to have been missed. Bond gave us culture!
IMHO, George was one of the best Bonds ever despite his badly advised decision to turn the role down. I believe he is the 2nd best Bond and OHMSS clearly a superb story.
I had no idea that it been turned into a restaurant! When the Zaritskys visited a few years back, it was just the empty building. Great idea and I’m glad they paid homage to the film without being gaudy about it. Some of the stuff done at Piz Gloria is way too commercial and touristy in my opinion. The food looks amazing!
Thanks PB for opening a real pandoras box, that we need to inspect. I agree with you the NTTD failed as a true Bond. The Woke writers really emasculated Bond....carrying around a kids doll ! Really ? Flemmings books that made Bond the cult hero HE....is .....never had such a soft character. Unfortunately Craig, as good as he was, sided with woke writers to polute a classic screen character with silly nonsense to please who? Bond was accepted and grew on everyone precisely because he was this suave , masculine character with a ruthless streak and womanizing nature. As for bringing Bond back as woman, person of colour, etc. What a stupid joke. If that's acceptable can we next have a male Wonder Woman, a white Shaft (that great 70s Dark Hero ,excuse the pun). Or what about Snow White and the 7 Giants, Godzilla the Canary, King Kong the wild squirrel? Seriously what about the adventures of Felix Leighter, or diaries of Camile (QoS Bond Girl who lived on), secrets of Moneypenny for practical spinoffs that could be believable and in the correct genre?
Craig IS Bond. Connery may have been first, but he’s only number two in my books. Fleming wrote Bond as a conflicted, struggling, tough guy and that is Craig’s interpretation. Killing Craig’s Bond killed the franchise. Either Live and Let Die or, release the ending where he doesn’t die and carry on with another actor.
@@There_Will_Be_Bond I suspect they did. In the meantime, watch The Rock with Sean Connery and pretend it’s this movies Swan Song. (The Rock should be cannon).
After the Daniel Craig Bonds, I rewatched Sean Connery Bond movies, and was pleasantly surprised at how gritty they were. For me Connery was best, with Craig a close second. The rest of the Bonds were disposable.
If it lit a fire under Eon, sure. No connection to NTTD though please. Dying Bond, Matilde, etc all horrible, I don’t want to revisit. Wouldn’t mind the Casino prequel or something between Quantum and Skyfall (he became a decrepit agent pretty quickly which never made sense). I like your ambition here, sir. Please keep up the great work.
@@markgwaldman3273 we could even have something between casino end and quantum beginning with Bond N Mr White bonding on a road trip before it all gets a bit hectic
My favorite Bonds are Sean Connery and Daniel Craig. I think they are similar in how they played the character and in pesonality. I would love to see Daniel back. However, I think it depends on Daniel Craig. Wheather he wants to or not. We all know it's difficult for actors and actresses to keep playing the same character over and over. They want to move on and I wouldn't blame him. If a new Bond is named, I will be optimistic and wait to see how it goes.
Questien him?? what a load of crap, he only wanted to be bond if he could kill bond off, after Babs fool him after spectre, she gave her word then, Bond vould die along with blofeld. but she wanted him forever, Craig said never again. and after 3 years not looking for new bond, she made everything to bring the woke bastard back, and he control the hole movie till 75% and we got the end of bond. And now u making a video for Barbara so she can get her wish again, return of craig a 3rd time. Shame on you, and shame all who still think craig was good, then u are no james bond fans in my eyes. 5 years eon know the death of bond, and still new ide to get a new era.
No, no, no, no and no. A James Bond "multiverse", even a light one, would be a mess. In my humble opinion, it's two ways to continue the Bond movies. 1: Bond somehow survives "No Time To Die", and we get another Craig movie. It can be done. 2: James Bond is a code name, and another 00-agent, gets the Bond name.
I don't think having Bond between movies makes its a multi-verse, its still within his timeline, for me it's its just painting in the gaps. James Bond has never been a code name before. And I'm 100% sure he's blown to bits in No Time To Die. Opinions vary, I welcome yours and thanks for watching
Craig does not want or love the role it shows in his portrayal They shouldnt have replaced Pierce Brosnan what a waste if they had a problem with the story or style they should have kept Pierce he was the type for bond like Roger and Sean Daniel Craig bond was a product of the Bourne Identity franchise
Nooooooooooooooo! Good riddance to Danny boy, it's not entirely his fault, more so the writers, so let's move on! I personally would like to see a retro adventure, somewhat like 'Last night in Soho' with a Connery like actor to revive the theme. Otherwise IMHO the franchise will continue to morph into a comic book super hero genre destined to be laughable at best !
Sorry Daniel Craig should never have been cast as James Bond. He does not fit Ian’s Fleming description as his super spy in his books. James Bond is NOT blonde hair but black and Daniel was way too short with the wrong measurements. Unfortunately he was not bond enough . But he’s more suited to other types of films . He should not return.
Thanks Kay, as Daniel himself said, Roger was also quite blonde as well. It does depend on whether you want the Fleming's Bond to be a literal interpretation. If so, you'll only get a ream of Hoagy Carmichaels from now on.
Yeah! But who really wants 'D'Craig Back! 'D' for destroyed Bond. Regarding Actors narrating Bond Audio books.... I've long thought Timothy Dalton should narrate them.
You look amazing man, you look like you've buffed up, and the camp collar style shirt is going well with the colour and your skin. As a personal stylist I say bravo.
All good ideas, Daniel Craig narrating Bond novels? Genius! I would love him narrate all the Fleming audio books. The last idea would be great as a comedy, a sort of British film industry satire. I know it's very fashionable to hate on Craig these days but I loved him as Bond. I thought all his films were great, yes, some better than others but I loved that he humanized Bond (something that Fleming did in the novels, although some don't want to admit that) some hated the fact that he made Bond a real person, with real flaws but I thought it was brilliant! However, I feel it is time to move on and have a Bond who is a little more playful. We need a fun Bond now for these times.
I like the idea of playing with Bond's emotional side. I didn't care much for him having a child and I wonder if there could be something as an AUDIENCE CUT, where we cut that whole child subplot out of the film. Sounds mean, but I'd be interested in seeing it. Thanks Alex have a good weekend. I think we'll miss Craig more so in years to come. Maybe we didn't know we had it so good.
I really like your ideas. I also wouldn't mind Craig coming back in video games for the 'in between missions' similar to Bloodstone and Goldeneye Reloaded.
Sorry but none of these actors appeal to me! He needs to be unknown, white and not too 'pretty' and have a quiet charisma . However the bigger problem are the producers who have lost their way and the poor story lines/plots which are tainted with the woke virus poisoning the world. Christopher Nolan will be a must otherwise Bond is really dead! Put that in your Heineken Arnie!
James Norton? Interesting, I never thought of that, could work. Let me ask you something, what does it mean, “woke“? I never actually got a good definition of what that means. As a Buddhist (where that term I believe comes from) it’s even more confusing because the way it sounds like it’s being used, from a Buddhist perspective, it has nothing to do with Buddhism.
Good question Alex, so as I understand there are two definitions of Woke. The original Woke where people are Awake to societal prejudices, and the second is a pejorative term for people that have taken those views to the extreme. I think.
@@There_Will_Be_Bond Interesting, that's the best definition so far that I've heard. The Buddhist term, of which I think it's derived from, is never used in the past tense, as in "woke", I woke up and it's done. The Buddha (Siddhartha Gautama) would use the term "I am awake" to try and convey that it is an ever present condition and one is always in a process of awakening. To say one is woke sounds a bit arrogant, whether one is saying that in a positive or pejorative way. Either way, it's a bit of a misinterpretation. Also, from a buddhist perspective, one would never say it as a pejorative.
I would love to have been at this little summit meeting! Beautiful setting for a “cookout” as we Yanks in the south call it! I haven’t thought about James Norton but then I’m in the Richard Madden camp thanks to Bodyguard. The burning question I have for you is what does one serve at a UK BBQ? 🤔
Well lots of Heineken is key, staying on brand. The budget doesn't stretch to Bollinger I'm afraid. I thought Madden was very good in Bodyguard, but I think there is more of a deeper interesting issue with Madden that I will touch upon another time. Thanks Kevin.
Bless thank you, she has also found another old painting of Timothy Dalton that she said she can dd to the collection. The only one left is Pierce, but she says he is too good looking to draw.
