Mr. Goodpliers grew up with parents who restored antique furniture. He applied technical skills passed on by his dad to his hobby interest: antique vehicles. Collector cars became his passion over the years, and he wants to share that passion of antiques with you. He graduated from McPherson College in 2008 with a degree in auto restoration. His life has revolved around old and abandoned cars, found all over the central United States. Every one has a story!

those trunk racks on celebrities were sold at dealer auctions with a bunch of other add ons you could put on your auction cars when you bought lease and rental cars to doll them up to sell. Back in the late seventies and eighties some of the dealer auctions in mo. had wholesalers who would sell dozens of lease and rental cars dolled up to sell easier. Even their were cars with miles rolled off by crooked dealers.
RU-vid’s algorithm said I might like this and it was spot on! Poured myself a cup of coffee and thoroughly enjoyed my morning watching this video. Thanks for posting. New subscriber.
Fairly decent content from a thinner carrot top man desperately needing shoes/ boot's replaced unless you're the crash test mule for super strange in the field hybrid open toe box work boots designed after Jesus sandals and rolling around in a higher miler 2002 escalade in ext fashion with Non rock chip paint protection film for the white diamond on Cashmere interior machine that serves as a four wheel canopy topped wheelbarrow. What a life & get yourself some decent shoes to stop scaring people like you have a year round Halloween costume.
A walk back in history and the memories of a time long gone, reminds me of my grandfather farm in Ohio along with his brothers and sisters. Thanks for the tour
Hemp plants and marijuana plants are both the same species. Legally, hemp is defined as a cannabis plant that contains 0.3 percent or less THC, while marijuana is a cannabis plant that contains more than 0.3 percent THC.
That wooden box that holds all the dies is called a Californis Job Box used for letterpress printing. It held individual lead letters to form printed text in a paragraph. I was a printer back in the day....
That 340 Demon may have belonged to my dad, once upon a time. He had one the same color when I was a little kid in the 1970s. We lived in Poplar Bluff, Missouri back then. There couldn't have been many of those cars. What are the odds there were 2 of them, the same color in the same state?
Rare car, and a neat one... can you imagine if it had been put away in a shed instead of left to die in a field... but they were just old cars back then, regardless of whether they were rare high performance vehicles or just run of the mill.
They are on the internet. A Google search will pull them up. I also find them on Facebook. I will always tap on the ads for them even if they are far away, that way the algorithm keeps showing them
For the Red tractor and machine guys, they were IH tractors, even if it did say Case IH! The binder pickup was cheap enough but it looked like every panel on it was dented. I could hardly believe what the C10 and 49 Dodge pickups brought, some people must have really wanted them. The AC dozer was a bargain if a guy needed one and had the time and skill to fix it, otherwise it was a good deal for a scraper. All the tractors seemed a bit high and the cars too. The D600 Dodge was cheap even if it didn't run. I suspect you had a good time watching, as did I. Thanks!
I agree, the Case moniker was only a name. The dozer did get loaded out of there by someone from Kansas. It landed on Facebook Marketplace for a couple weeks for $1500, then would be heading to scrap if no takers. Not every day a fella gets a chance at an item with a 1000% markup! A deal like that looks fantastic on the front end, but on the back you have to realize how much the guy would need to have tied up in equipment, trailer and truck to move it, and it is less of a wild deal considering that
I aways shake my head when having sale or going to start something that's been sitting I don't no why ? But I do I lube hinges doors trunk hood anything that moves then get started to do what i want to it every spring and fall I oil everything up no matter what if I use it or not
The lion's share, yes. A few were saved for projects and parts cars. At least they were given one last chance to get new life or become "organ donors" So many of these yards get crushed out without a second thought and everything goes away, the good and the bad
Stay tuned for Part Two... I rolled four wheels on the trailer... in my opinion I found one of the better vehicles in better condition for a very low buy-in... definitely didn't go home empty. Plus it was a fun day to see a place I'd never been to, meet new people, find an adventure and share what happened with the RU-vid viewers!
2:00 “That hit home.“ In 1995 a car magazine had a 55 Chevy on the cover with the caption “Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the 55 Chevy!” That beautifully restored car looked brand new. It was at that point I realized these objects of our devotion and affection will outlive all of us.
If these were all still in a working yard, I see some good parts I'd like to pull and buy. But not much that I'd want to drag home whole. The plum crazy 340 Demon was super cool to see, even if it's incredibly rough. I also would have loved a peek inside the aluminum camper that was on that squarebody, just to see what the inside looked like.
