I was / am a Flames fan, and i remeber watching that fuck up by Steve Smith and thinking ;oh fuck', that poor guy. I felt horrible for him, even though that series put the Flames in the final. Years later Steve Smith is a coach of the Flames, and at one point the Flames lost pretty much all their defencman, so the Flames asked Steve if he would change out his suit and get in the trenches with the the guys!! he did, and to this day, Steve Smith is one of the best defenseeman the Calgary Flames have ever had!! 11 !!
2013 2014 season why does a fan have a Yakupov jersey wtf lmao ... Smythe was the hardest working of that era. . he deserves a cup . All heart and soul
I was there for that game. I remember the shot well. I was looking right live at it and I have the framed picture from the negative it was shot on. Signed by 99.
I remember we had no TV just Rod Phillips - And Gretzky was in all alone - Short handed Scored a goal. The crowd eruption was 5 mins long. Rod had us in tears - was so unimaginable - Absolutely history making - Rod called it and it was just - Amazing
What an incredible game historical game by Sam Gagner! All these years later and I still watch the highlights, for most of the third period, everytimenhe hit the ice, he got a point!!!
I’m a huge oilers fan and i wish there was a way you can go back to 2006 to rewatch it all over again I would’ve loved to see this run cuz now a days they can’t even make it to the fucking finals
This run is what made me into a hardcore Oilers and hockey fan. What a great run this was. Hopefully the Oilers aren't far from another Stanley Cup final.
So much better when you could smoke at arenas. Now you can't even leave to smoke a cigarette at Roger's. Discrimination at its finest that's somehow legal in Canada.
People forget that Steve Smith became one of the best defensemen in the NHL. I grew up in the same neighborhood. I was best friend's with Steve's brother. I had the utmost respect for Steve and the Smith family. Steve's Father Ray, or Mr. Smith, as I called him was a good Man, but very strict. Steve's Mother Mary, Mrs. Smith was also a wonderful Woman. I saw her a couple of year's ago at the store. She saw me and came right over and gave me a hug, great family!
