Richo I know that would be fantastic. That crew has zero personality, like seriously you're trying to sell the experience and the crew are just absolutely dead pan.
My favourite part is how they managed to avoid showing all of the empty commercial buildings, the snarled traffic since the idiotic lowering of highway speeds to 70km, the total lack of properties to rent (assuming you could get a job, but there aren't any of those either), and of course all of the poor & homeless people. Instead of putting taxpayer funds towards major issues, this council instead replaces our iconic bridge with concrete that blocks the view of the foreshore from the bridge and then pours concrete into an already beautiful estuary to build a POOL! IN AN ESTUARY! Nothing beats their "bridge to nowhere" fiasco, though! Great spin, guys, well done! Now for the truth: if you're independently wealthy, don't have to work, have a sh1t-tonne of cash to buy a house (IF you can find one), don't have to drive, and are happy to ignore the homeless, you'll love it here.
Every place has its pluses and minuses - but there are a lot of pluses here. I live in Mandurah. I am not wealthy, I am semi-retired and only work two days per week, but the beauty of nature costs nothing. It is a short drive to the foreshore, the beach, or Dolphin Quay. Plenty of places to stroll, breathe the fresh air, watch the birdlife, etc. - all for free - or relax with a coffee somewhere on the boardwalk. Where else can you watch wild dolphins, enjoy spectacular Christmas light displays along waterways and canals, catch crabs in the estuary, fish, swim at the beach and enjoy a picnic on the foreshore. Like any place, there are homeless and displaced people who are struggling, which is a sad situation and there but for the grace of God go I, but there is also community spirit here. When I was evacuated from my home during the fires near Barragup, I had gone for refuge to the cool of the shopping centre with my cat in her carrier and several people asked me if I was okay - one lady offered me a room for the night if I needed one and another invited me to her place for "a cuppa" until the all-clear was given. That is my Mandurah.
Two types of residents: 1. entitled rich and grumpy old fossils. 2. Impoverished lowlife drug addicts, and other n'er do wells. Stay out of town during long weekends and school holidays. Mandurah is a good example of how a very beautiful place can be royally screwed up by people. It's a micro example of Australia overall now that I think about it, which in turn is a micro example of the woke Western world.
Pinjarra is good, but there are just too many old fossil people there. They have ruined Mandurah and now they are lifting the grumpy entitled index a lot in Pinjarra.
Complete whitewash. Sorry, this video is ridiculously lopsided. You spent the whole thing filming the millionaire places and did NOTHING of the rest of the town at all! Mandurah has it's black eyes, the same as anywhere. Would it have killed you to show the wonderful communities of Mandurah? There are a lot more nice things to film that don't involve waterside millionaires.
