Defender Gray Griffin, captain of the United States under-17 national team that took part in last year’s FIFA Under-17 World Championship in Trinidad and Tobago, was killed and three other Furman University players were injured Friday in an early morning car crash in Spartanburg County, S.C.

Loved revisiting this. It's a truly excellent moment at 47:35 when the broadcast team has to cut away from their salivating interview with Tebow to watch Armanti superman across the goal line. Fun fact: Armanti and the Mountaineers had one common opponent with Tebow's Florida: Michigan. We know how App's game against the Wolverines turned out. Florida, however, lost.
HERD goes on to Win the NCAA 1AA CHAMPIONSHIP in 1992.. and even on this Very Field vs Youngstown State... if you havent watched that Instant Classic i Suggest you Do So... i stihl have my ticket stub on the wall over here in My Herd Room.
Hand was definitely going forward, of course, I have no skin in the game, however from an official standpoint look at his wrist (QB’S) at the point of the defenders contact. Does the quarterbacks wrist go forward or backwards? If it goes forward, remember, it’s an incomplete pass!
Never understood why they kept running when they got that close and didn’t just set up for the kick and run out the clock. But thank God they chose to mess with a Mountaineer defense in Boone.
Hello App State Nation! Question that I am needing for personal videos, I have been screen recording my own sports games for my teams, but have had trouble with choppy softwares and my games just don't come out as smooth as yours do, especially with sports like football that have a lot of camera movement, it just comes out choppy. If you don't mind, what softwares do you use and what tip/tricks do you have for me that make your recordings very high quality and smooth? Thanks!!!

All 3 of those guys played FBS at Marshall. Pennington and Moss both started at Marshall while the Herd was still FCS though. However, Marshall was FBS for the entirety of Leftwich's college career.
ESPN graphics without Their name on it... It definitely reminds me of the Dr. Pepper Big 12 Saturday games on FSN where you have the theme and graphics, but not the network name.
Mike Jefferson out of el paso tx was a standout player for Montana this season went on to the cowboys for 2 yrs practice squad but was released for a banned substance
@App State Nation, thank you for showing this! Furman use to give us the business when I attended App. State during the late eighties and early nineties! I enjoy seeing ASU whup up on Furman!!
Why did Furman go for two instead of using up the time and just downing it at 1 yard line for a 1 point win. Miracle on the Mountain II occurred yesterday with App St and Troy.
Since Furman scored the touchdown they have to attempt a pt after and with time on the clock they have to kickoff. Kneeling there wouldn't have taken anytime off the clock during a point after touchdown.
You gotta look at it closely. The player is turned running forward and basically tosses it in a backwards direction and the other player runs into the lateral. The only thing you could maybe say is it didn't go backwards or forwards but thats legal even if that's the case it just can't go forwards. Just by the way the players body is facing and what he is doing there's no way the ball is going forward to make it an illegal play. The player would never do it in a forward direction simply because that makes no sense seeing how the player he is giving it to is behind him. He turns and flips it in the air. Legal play all the way 100%. If you can slow down the video and watch it in slow mo you'll see.
@@davidpitts5851 Its all about where the ball is released from and where it is touched. It is released right around the 15 yard line and not touched until the 17. 100 percent forward. But still a great play and App State is a great program
