The lead in groove is a weekly show hosted by Brian Jacobs. Brian was an 80's and 90's club kid and DJ and while mostly centered around alternative music, the show discusses the genre, the bands, the labels, the songs, and other genres that would be of influence to the artist. Not to be pigeon holed, Brians personal collection ranges from punk to electronica, jazz, reggae, ska, classic rock and even big band.

I don't clean records especially brand new ones, there's no need. If there's dust on an on an LP I have a ultra quiet air compressor and I blow all that stuff off the record.
dust is not the only reason to clean a new record, static is another reason. Cleaning will remove the static charge, as well as any oils or residues from the manufacturing and packing process. Also, compressed air can leave condensation on the record as well. Thanks for watching
@@theleadingroove Static...that is what a Milty Zesty gun is for. I don't get into all of that oil and or residues thing. I've been into records since i was a kid and never heard of that before and don't pay no mind about it.
we have a 4k camera hard wired in the club, also have a feed directly from the board, both the camera and audio are plugged into a Yolo Pro, and recorded. I then edit in iMovie and adjust audio best I can. Video would obviously do better without the stage lights shining in the lens.
8:52 dude! 🤦♂️ you missed such an opportunity to ask him “why” that record meant so much to him. But! Hearing you two geek out about stereos was really fun. Such an awesome video. This is my second watch through btw.
I can talk about stereo gear for hours, from cables to cartridges, phono amps, tube vs solid state. My speakers weigh 400 pounds each and my poor wife puts up with me. Thanks for tuning in.
Well there I am at 2:04! I recognize about 80% of the people in this video and I miss them all! Thanks so much to the person that posted this video! So lucky I was able to experience that era and be part of it al! Fellow JHS weird-zoners.... Where you at??!!
i started working in music tech as soon as possible, to distribute it so everyone could use it (xoxos vst). i don't go to shows because i'd just start yelling "free west papua, burn the m. lodges and f em all" and instantly getting in fights and having to really hurt stupid people again sigh. do you even holmes holmes because it seems loike folks ain't sh!
My fave song from "Reincarnated" is "Dystopia" . Capitalists will shame you for using capitalism when talking against capitalism, but we don't get to shame them when they get protections from the state. Capitalism didn't invent wealth or money.
