In this channel and podcast I discuss and review the synth-pop / new wave / EBM / electronic music that I purchase, listen to, and or discover. I will give you my opinion of its style and quality. I also post live footage of synthpop / New Wave concerts and animated music videos of lesser-known but worthy synthpop songs. Links to audio clips and places to purchase can be found on the podcast blog: synthpopreviews.blogspot.com/ If you like classic synthpop bands like Pet Shot Boys, New Order, Depeche Mode, Simple Minds, OMD, Erasure, etc., or if you like modern synthpop bands like Mesh, Ulver, CHVRCHES, De/Vision, T.O.Y., Iris, etc., then this podcast is for YOU!
I just loved this! Alphaville is one of the bands of my life, i really adore their music and watching this review for each of their albums was such a pleasent surprise for me. I also loved the blue cat with your voice, that's really cute! I agree with most of your comments and favorite tracks. About 'Strange Attractor', i was initially disappointed with it because of its darker mood and less use of synths, but it grew on me. 'Salvation' is fabulous indeed! Thank you for this video. Got a new subscriber.
Another enjoyable review, cold you please do some more 80's synth pop: album reviews with a combo with some with guitars as well like starting with: the first 3 hit 80's albums for: Howard Jones- Human's Lib, Dream into Action, + One to One, Nik Kershaw hit albums-Human Racing, The Riddle, Sandra-The Long Play, Mirrors, + into a secretland, Camouflage-Voices & Images, Methods of Silence! That would be great!
Those are great suggestions. I have a few more reviews in editing right now. If the channel continues to grow, I'd love to review the bands you suggested.
@@synthpopreviews4714 Nice one, looking forward to the videos! If you could interview just one of them down the line would be fantastic Not all of them are bands though! 😃🤘🏻 When do you think you might start doing a few of my suggestions??
Really liked this review, shame they never took of in the US as they should of done as they had other hit singles/albums in many parts of Europe and a few outside like in: Japan, South Africa, + New Zealand! As your from the US, have you been on holiday/vacation outside of Amercia??
Really liked your review, I'm also from the UK where Thompson Twins were from esp where Joe Leeway grew up in the county of Kent in Dartford! I live right between Dartford/Bexley 😀 Have you been to the UK before, last time I went to the US was to Seattle way back in Summer of 2018!
I love many of his albums but this last one for me sounds very commercial. It’s not the edgy stuff or ambient beauty that I have grown to love but I feel since the other band member left that edgy side has vanished.
In regards to Prophet. Don't think of it as Ronan critiqueing religion in general. I and a few others who have sat back and listened to this album see it as calling out those who would use "religion" for personal gain. Just look at those who broadcast and insist those to "give, give, give for the Lord to save your place in heaven." It's how I see the track.
