IMHO, in current situation the best option for Indonesian streamers, youtuber, creator, etc is living in a low cost country (Indonesia) while targeting global audience especially from higher income countries. Because: - ID's living cost is cheap - ID's RPM is too damn low. - You can introduce Indonesia to the worldwide audience. Remember that Indonesia is unknown country for the rest of the world. - When someone from overseas buy the merch, it count as an export transaction. That's why I really love HoloID clipper who target global/foreign market. You help us to introduce the nation or at least the 9 talented girls to the international market.🙏
Damn the tactics were all good from millimon! How their playing was good as well. I love how subaru and towa as their leader were still talking really peacefully after the heist
I'm surprised that Cover hasn't singled out Risu for a direct invitation yet. They have a nuclear bomb among their ID talents and yet they have been so slow at investing in her. Are they afraid of being seen as biased?
Maybe, because other talents also had to stand on their own in making music and stuff to gain sub (with the help of staff in some ways i think, like contact with artists...) and become big. Hololive say no with favorite, (well even matsuri, a talents, was opposed to a manager who want to 'spoil' her bc she thinks it's not fair). Hololive is big now, but if they forget what rules help them maintaining it (like the fairness in a professional setting), it will destroy them from the inside i think. Btw, that's just business thing that i don't know much about, so it's just my thought on that matter tho
Too late for that considering how some have more pushes than not even in EN/JP But considering the extra overhead she has (family) compared to most, some adjustment would be fair IMO
@@Fishman465 I think Risu at least has some support from Cover and is seen as the poster child of ID, foremost by other ID girls, then Cover. In ID big collabs, you can clearly feel that they listen to her. I just wonder why it takes too long for Cover to secure a producer for her. Calli and Suisei both got theirs with Cover's help.
It's definitely an adjustment to keep in mind for most EU/NA fans. Moona + ID look at JP part time jobs and think, oh man, minimum wage is so high! Meanwhile I just remember thinking oh man, wages are so low here! Obviously the wage in a country tends to correspond to the cost of living, so that means little in and of itself, but if you are living in a HCOL area with a LCOL wage then yeah, that's not sustainable.
To be fair, due to Moona's history with JP members and JP fans, she would definitely get way more projects in Japan, but it's still a risk, let's pray for Zeta's success.
Japan can be expensive for Vtubers. I loved Prism Project, but some of the talents in Japan worked a 2nd job with streaming. Of course, location helps, but in post-AFC Japan, food is expensive, but housing costs are okay from what I understand.
She's got a good point. I work in the US, but my company employs some people from the Phillipines and well you can guess there's a disparity in earned wages. It sucks but that's the economy.
Oh wow I didnt know they were paid in their own countries minimum wage, I thought they would be paid the base amount in Yen; that would be a lot more reasonable
I am wishing the best for Zeta, but she’s very cognizant of what she’s doing and recognizes the risks. ID may not suffer the same tax complications that the American members have, but I’m amazed by the determination of people who pay taxes to two different countries on earnings. I remember someone saying almost 80% of her wages went to taxes between the states and Japan. I really really hope Zeta enjoys her time in Japan and that it works out well for her. I also think it is a smart move for the ID girls to stay where they are and let the company cover flights and lodging when necessary. Bae’s move is also a completely different story and she saw it beneficial to take the plunge and obtain a JP shed, given how often she was having to go to Japan. Everyone has different circumstances and Cover seems to do a good job of supporting and accommodating the talents. The company certainly isn’t perfect but things seem pretty healthy.
That 80% tax thing was Calli from a couple of years ago. She confirmed in a more recent chat from around 7 months ago that she figured out the taxes since then and she's not paying that much anymore. But she did say that it's a time intensive process and she spends hours talking to her accountant, so it's still a lot of effort for other US talents to live there. I don't think Aus makes you pay taxes if you're not living there for its citizens like the US does (the US has a tax treaty system with Japan, but that's probably what makes it complicated enough to make Calli spend so much time with her accountant), so that also made things a lot easier for Bae over the US based EN talents moving there.
@@akaaoi I thought it was Calli but couldn't remember for sure. Glad she's got a more preferential situation because giving up that much of your income is madness. Thanks for the reply. Hope you have a nice weekend!
imagine yeah you went to nana-eleven or Fauna mart or watson to buy something and you recognize the voice of the cashier. me: a..are you hololive member? cashier : i'm part time worker!?
Makes's sense ,like she said ,if they right now with the money they earn are considered middle class in Indonesia ,by moving to Japan which is a way more expensive country ,outside of more projects they would just put themselves in a very bad financial situation .
I’m actually really surprised. I don’t watch HoloID much but they’re pretty popular on YT and have a lot of projects and stuff, so I always thought they’d be rich for their country’s standards and at least be earning enough to live comfortably in Japan if they wanted to.
rich is matter of standard perspective my friend, for many the id girls is considered rich, some of the id member manage to feed and became the backbone of her intire family and some can afford to buy a car,own house, own a studio and many things, but yeah different place different exchange rate
Ayame killed a bunch of cops, got killed by Kazama from the back Botan killed a bunch of gang members, got killed by Anya from the back I guess its a tie(?)
When the news of Zeta moving to Japan was out, I was completely surprised . I was sure if any of ID members will move there, it'll be either Reine or Kobo . But then again, Zeta did speak Japanese the most aside from Reine so I shouldn't be surprised? (Yeah didn't mention Anya cuz.... Well.... Anya) 😂
