Hello, I’m confused about the UV part. The website points out that this product “provides durable UV resistance” but some of your responses to comments says there are no UV inhibitors, some point to using 2k clear coat if UV protection is required, and come say this product does have UV protection and will last multiple years. I don’t want to work through the six steps and prep only to find out this product will still end up yellowing within a year. Does this product have UV protection and / or will it stop my headlights from yellowing for at least a year or more?
We made a mistake in our previous answers due to translation errors. Our 2K 2in1 Headlight Clear is very resistant and contains UV inhibitors to protect against UV radiation (like our 2K clear). The UV-radiation causes the yellowing. We deleted/corrected every wrong information about it - Sorry for the confusion, and thank you for your understanding!

Hi, in theory, you can fill any liquid into a can with the FillClean machine. The decisive factor is that the materials in the can are compatible with the desired material to be filled. Very thorough video showing the process. It would have been nice to see the results from different angles in the sun to see how well the color matched and was blended.
Hi, depending what you mean with different products. We recommend our Way & Grease remover, because it's an efficient removal of silicone, grease, oil, wax, dirt, tar, and soot. Also it improves the adhesion of waterborne basecoats.
I mean a degreaser for automotive paint. I got your product from Amazon hoping it will have instructions and it did not. So I started research and found this video. It took me a while to find your prep product. So I’m going to order it. But if I was not so determined to do it right. I would have done same thing like people that live bad reviews about your product. Scaff it wipe and spray. (I’m pretty sure they newer found instructions)You need to provide instructions with product or with every saller online. It took me a while to find your video about it with information. Before I was looking for information in review and everyone is telling a different story only cupel people did find your information and did it right way everyone else is guessing and trying that’s not good for product reputation.

Schon wäre der Hinweis gewesen, dass der alte Klarlack des Scheinwerfers auch dort abgeschliffen werden muss, wo er noch o.k. ist. Nur anschleifen reicht dort nicht, denn der Übergang zwischen Flächen wo der alte Klarlack komplett abgeschliffen ist und Flächen, auf denen der alte Klarlack Bestand hat, zeichnet sich ansonsten am Ende unschön im neuen Klarlack matt ab. Somit war viel Schleifarbeit und eine Dose Spray Max umsonst, und alles muss nochmal komplett abgeschliffen und lackiert werden🤷♂️🙈

Das vorher bild im vergleichsfoto ist komplett gelb gefilter und nach schadensbehebung ist der lack um den Scheinwerfer auf einmal silber. Verarschen können wir uns alleine
Ich bin mittlerweile ziemlich weg von Sparydosen , sie sind wesentlich teurer, beispielsweise. Eine Dose Beispritzverdünnung kostet bei uns 27 Euro, wobei ein ganzer Liter sonst weniger kostet. Außerdem spucken die Spraydosen gerne mal, wenn sie leerer werden und man Punkte, ähnlich wie Steinschlagschutz. Diese Punkte muss ich wieder schleifen und dann besteht die Gefahr des durchschleifens. Aus der Pistole habe ich immer ein perfektes Finish, eine glatte Oberfläche und man kann mit der Pistole viel feinfühliger arbeiten , ist mir lieber, auch wenn es etwas mehr Arbeit ist.
Bei mir hat das Spraymax 2K-System Decklack in der Dose nicht ausgelöst und ich hab es nicht bemerkt, weil der Stift unten bis zum Anschlag drin war. Ich habe es dann erst beim Auftragen des Klarlackes gemerkt, da war es zu spät. Der Decklack hat sich mit dem Klarlack gemischt, und es endete in einer Katastrophe, musste Alles neu aufbauen. Ich glaube, ich kaufe nie wieder eine Dose von Spraymax.

Ich habe am 14.03 eine E-Mail mit Schilderung des Problems an diese E-Mail-Adresse gesendet. Bis heute, 1. mai, habe ich keine Antwort erhalten. Mittlerweile hatte ich noch ein anderesProblem mit einer zweiten 2K Dose von Spraymax. Beim Auslösen Spritze neben dem Stift die Härter-Flüssigkeit raus. ich brauche nun keine Antwort mehr von Spraymax, man sollte sich dort erstmal mit seinen Problemen beschäftigen, Ehe man hier großzügig eine Aufklärung verspricht. 👎
Wie so oft gibt es jedoch auch Ausnahmen der Regel, die es erlauben, den Scheinwerfer zu lackieren. Führt der Anstrich dazu, dass eine Funktionsverbesserung eintritt, kann die Modifizierung, den Scheinwerfer mit Klarlack zu lackieren, erlaubt sein. Ebenso kann es zulässig sein, die Scheinwerferblenden zu lackieren. Dem TÜV bzw. einer anderen befugten Prüfstelle müssen die Änderungen aber in jedem Fall vorgeführt werden. Quick question. I ordered some paint but didn't order enough. I was able to put abojt 2 coats on but it needs more. I have ordered more paint but should I samd the last coat before spraying the new stuff on? Only asking because it will be about a week or two betweem coats...?
@@jakeringelstetter2563 The Scotch Brite should be fine for the abrasion between layers. Clean it, scuff it, clean it again to remove the sanding residue and spray it.
Intended for the repair of various textured plastic parts, Spraymax texture coat can be applied directly to most common plastics without adhesion promotor. Polyethylene is an exception and will require pretreatment. Body work the damaged area, apply texture coat to achieve desired texture and allow to dry thoroughly. If needed, apply color directly over texture coat to match surrounding area.
Is this the same formula that is used in your 1K spot blending product? If not, then how is it different ,besides the fact that it is a bigger can? Are there any differences and if so what are they. Thank you
I think people are beginning to realise the negatives of using this awful stuff, You need to stream on how to remove 2kmax from headlights after 3years or so!!!
Hello, that depends on how big the headlights are. We say ca. 2-4. Once you activated the product its good for usage for about 8h. It also depends on the ambient temperature, warmer = shorter, colder = longer
The Question is will this garage Guarantee it will renew headlights when they go bad, IE spider cracking over the entire polycarbonate lenses which is permanent and cant be repaired,There are plenty of utube streams demonstrating the negatives of this awful product, Which was never meant for headlights, Its more of a DIY hobbyist product for refurbishment of furniture and damaged car panels after painting as an extra level of protection!! The hardener is the main problem it bonds to hard to the polycarbonate which needs to move expand and contract with changing temperatures, 2k max wont do this hence the spider cracking!! Headlight restoration is all about the science and common sense, As a rule of thumb if it's not written on the can for headlights only don't use it!!!🤔🇬🇧👍
Hi there! Thank you for your feedback. The 2K 2in1 clear coat is made specifically for headlights.Perhaps the headlights were in too bad a condition for the product to have improved it. If you respected the Spray conditions (temperature, humidity, spray distance etc.) and the technical data sheet or the video with all the sanding and spray steps, you should be fine. We are very sorry you're not happy with the result of the product and hope you give our products another chance.
Try'ed it still the same as expected it still useing that awful hardener😮 Which is the issue? Way to hard for polycarbonate lenses despite what's written on the can to increase sales!!🤔😱
A new headlight shouldn't give a reason to be painted. If they're older, follow the sanding steps. Orange peel is caused by an irregular paint finish. It is best to try it in advance to get a feel.
@@spraymax new aftermarket headlights come with supposed cheap factory clear coat. I'm asking should it be sanded and it's factory clear coat be removed before applying this 2k clear coat?
@@whatitisnt. if you want to implement the recommended paint structure as it is intended for the product, then you should follow the sanding steps shown in the video.
Hi, if you follow the steps like in the video, the clearcoat will last for multiple years. But it could be shorter depending on the environmental influences such as sand, hale, rain etc. The difference is that the 2in1 clearcoat has an additive in it that guarantees adhesion to the plastic.
@spraymax what sort of PPE (mask/filter/gloves) do you recommend. OSHA says supplied air mask are required for clear coats if they contain isocyanates.
We recommend a half mask with an A2/P3 filtration. Disposable gloves and any kind of safety goggles. When we work with UV, the googles should of course protect against UV rays.
Hi, Do I have to sand from 800 all the way to 2000 grit? Is 2000 grit not too fine so that the 2in1 clearcoat won't stick good? Or is it ok to go up to 2000 grit? I want to have good results and don't want to have unnecessary scratches from the sandpaper, but also don't want the clearcoat to flake away in time. What do you suggest?
@spraymax Mine were not this bad. minor yellowing and i used a 3 step polish after a wet sand at 2000. am i safe to use a surface cleaner then spray this on or do i need to redo and sand more?
Really like the channel I used to do spot repair , rim repair,hub cap repair. all with Spray max I have been considering getting back into it getting costs for tools and equipment and have been looking for a training course just as a refresh
Wenn ich ein neues Scheinwerferglas lackieren möchte, muss ich es reinigen und kann der Lack darauf gehen, oder muss ich es auch mit 2000er schleifen vor den lackieren?
Wir empfehlen grundstätzlich das anschleifen vor dem Lackieren mit P2000. Falls man mit P1000 anfangen möchte und dann mit P2000 abschließen will, kann man das auch gerne tun. Wichtig ist zwischen den Schleifschritten zu reinigen. Am besten nimmt man hier unseren Aqua Silikonentferner.
I bought some but this isn't feasible for my mobile service, I just wet-sand and polish in 6 steps, sure it's not coated in an epoxy resin, but I only go through Sanding disks. Too much wind for a mobile service and I can't use a heat lamp, so I won't be using this technique
Why are people using 2k clear for headlights that’s meant for paint and not this version? Can you confirm that the regular 2K clear is harsh on headlights and not good for them? It’s clear there’s a reason why this particular 2 in 1 product was made specifically for headlights yet I get bashed for not agreeing with the use of paint 2K clear...
@@HaloHamstur Ok, I guess that makes sense. But why do people across the industry use regular paint 2K clear on headlights? I’ve seen what it does when it starts to go bad and it is nasty to remove. It literally eats through sanding discs and takes a lot more time and effort if caught in time. Nobody has yet to answer my questions and tend to avoid it. Why is a paint clear an industry standard to apply on headlights? Especially when there are specifically made coatings for headlights.
@@MichaelBrianInc This product is new. People used to use 2K clear because it was one of the better options on the market. With adequate prep it would work okay. This product should work better. People use all sorts of stuff to fixed hazy headlights.
2k as mentioned is ment for car body only as it bonds to hard to polycarbonate headlights lens, Where as a certified clearcoat are softer to a allow for the lens to expand and contract as the lens is exposed to different temperatures, 2k max won't do this, And this is why long term damage occurs ie spider cracking flacking ect, Plus a nightmare to remove, Don't take wrong 2k is a brilliant product that is great on car bodies!! But not headlights no matter how they look!!!🤔🧐👍
Welcher Füller/Dickschichtfüller ist als Füllerschicht auf dem 2K Epoxy-Grundierfüller geeignet, also vor dem Basislack-Auftrag? Kann man hier den SprayMax 1K UniFill Dickschichtfüller verwenden? Oder gibt es eine andere Empfehlung?
Hallo, auf dem 2K Epoxy-Grundierfüller ist es nicht Notwendig einen Füller zu verwenden, also direkt den Basislack überlackieren. Es kann der 1K Uni-Fill Dickschichtfüller oder andere 1K Füller aus unserem Sortiment zwischen dem 2K Epoxy-Grundierfüller und dem Basislack je nach Bedarf verwendet werden. Hi, folgende Merkmale haben diese Produkte: Beispritzverdünnung: Inhalt - Reine Verdünnung zum an lösen der Klarlack- oder Lösemittel Decklack-Randzone, gibt einen weichen Verlauf und somit ein fast unsichtbaren Übergang zwischen Alt- und Neulackierung (gilt für Klarlack und lösemittelhaltige Decklacke). Beispritzlack: Inhalt - Verdünnung mit ca. 10% Klarlack auch zum an lösen der Klarlack-Randzone somit gibt es einen weichen Verlauf und somit ein fast unsichtbaren Übergang zwischen Alt- und Neulackierung (gilt nur für Klarlack). Hi, totally depends on how big the headlights are - ca. 2-4. Air temp drying works with all kinds of lacquer except UV. The 2K 2in1 headlight clear also has increased resistance to salt water, car wash, uv inhibitors etc.
