@desausfish4076 thanks mate, I use a 6 weight rod and a floating line. 12ft tapered leader 8lb flourocarbon tip.

I’ve seen a few of your videos. Great stuff. I’ve tried a few times for bream on fly but haven’t got one yet. What do u think it is about this fly which makes it work? Are you doing anything special with the retrieve.

Hey, I like this fly for shallower areas/ slow tidal movement. I think most of the key is getting down to where the fish are, the dumbells do that nicely. The fibres have a nice bit of movement in the water and I think that's what they like. I vary the retrieve but mostly I cast, tighten up to the fly and let it sink. Then give a couple of pulls and let it sink again. Often they'll take as it drops.
