Welcome to the Official Deep Purple RU-vid channel.
Legendary live performances, archive documentaries, official promo videos, rare interviews & more - follow the band through their incredible career spanning seven decades, many differing line ups, and a wealth of genres but all unmistakably ‘Purple’: Psychedelic rock, Progressive rock, Hard rock, even proto-Metal - Deep Purple were the Worlds Loudest Band in 1975 and haven’t let up since, selling over 100 million albums to date and keeping fans ‘In Rock’ in every possible way since 1968.
Inducted into the Rock n Roll hall of fame in 2016 and voted one of the ‘most influential bands ever’, Purple are still rocking and making music as relevant as 50 years ago - they are made of the stuff that most other bands can only dream of.

Super, meine Jugend, irre, das wird so nie wieder sein, das können die leider heute nicht mehr. Eine grandiose Musik, habe Gänsehaut pur und habe mich damals bei diesem Titel total verliebt. ❤❤❤
Machine Head (the LP) was d first record purchased by my brother. We spent many happy hours listening to it. My brother passed away this Jan, aged 70 yrs. I am 65 yrs. Missing my brother after he passed away, I wanted to connect to our shared past. I remembered Smoke on the Water. Downloaded the ringtone for my phone of the beginning of the song. Whenever my phone rings, I feel the shared past with him. The memories of grooving to this song. This is going to be my ringtone for a long time.😊 Thank you for explaining the genesis of this super song 🎸
I heard an interview on the radio from a US musician, for the life of me I can't remember who, but he said it was the British that revitalized US Blues music. He named Deep Purple, Led Zep and Cream. He said if it wasn't for their fascination with US Blues music, Blues would've gone the way of Jazz - still there but not Blues as we know it. As I watch this I see what he was saying..
According to Roger Glover the Band was not at all involved in this project! The record company decided this to be a good idea with Zappa father at Montreux at that time and Zappa son remixing it.
I heard SOTW playing overhead at the local supermarket last week, and I thought of the title coming to Roger in his dream. I wondered if he ever dreamed that the band's experience would be heard at Kroger a half century later. "Break a leg, Frank!" Yes, I know "Highway Star" is playing, but did anybody get a "Death Alley Driver" video vibe at 4:30?
----04/18/2024@8:50 AM EDT--- One (s) would have to say, Roger G. and Jon L. , you got "told'" and I cannot stop laughing-----Yet another all out-brawl .!---from Deep Purple, AKA, Rainbow, and or, vice versa---
---04/18/2024@8:09 AM EDT---Ian, I agree. Roger G. shoulda never had any business interfering in lyrics---To that "Moron", this really is a ballad, but he aint funny-- Jon L., How Many More Tmes does Ritchie have to tell you to shut TFU! before you actually listen!? When you get shut down, J.L., is the ONLY time. Most do not realize just what you are doing. You are synthesizing/processing both Ritchie's guitar and Ian's voice through that key/soundboard of yours---a kind of instant playback--And Roger G. , you are doing the very same thing as Jon L.. ("Moron"), only via the guitar you are holding, with Ian's vocals, as is very obvious here--I have no idea where Ian and Ritchie get their patients because I would be so out -of-my-mind furious, I would blow up your instruments, Roger G. and Jon L.!.---
