If you love automata look for Automata Magazine which is an online magazine. You can view some free without having to pay anything.

Maybe two magnets... on the bottom of cup is magnet and on the top of lever under desk is stronger magnet....maybe :) When the lever is down, the upper magnet acts, when the lever is up, the magnet placed on it acts. Maybe :)
