I'm pretty much all about tool reviews here, with a few shop tips thrown in occasionally.
Some of the product links I list on my channel are affiliate links - I get a commission when you buy something through them, but it still costs the same to you. Some of the tools I review are provided to me by the tool manufacturers for the purpose of reviewing. If this is the case, there will be a disclaimer in the video description. Otherwise, I bought the tool myself. I'm not sure how controllable it would be if you added on a second set of tubes. My opinion is that it wouldn't work well, but I haven't tried it myself.
I just bought this at a yard sale. It came with the hole spacer pin, but the rubber washer doesn't slide thru the holes on the jig.🤔 I tried reversing the pin and it still won't slide thru the hole like you have in the video at minute 4:50 Any thoughts?
Maybe the o-ring is degraded with age, and either swollen or hardened to the point it won't squeeze enough to fit through the guide collars. You can always just take it off - the only purpose of it is to provide a friction fit so that the alignment pin stays in the drill guide and doesn't fall out.
Just bought the EGO Gen 2 with four different attachments.I can confirm what he demonstrated.I'm really enthusiastic about this Multitool.I also own the brushcutter PH 1420 which is absolutely fine and of an extremely good quality and I can recommend the EGO Power tools, although made in China!
This thing is harder to put together and understand than it is to just cut a straight line freehand. I'm Legit about to take it back and get my money back. The part that hangs me up isn't putting the track together but dealing with the sled portion. So basically I'm stuck on Step 2 I don't understand it at all
Should be linearly scaled, so 33% longer than the 9 Ah battery. It's not a high enough draw tool for the greater efficiency of the 12Ah cells at high current draw to really play a factor.
Anyone have issues loading line where it doesn't seem to load and the motor starts to burn up? My motor started smoking 2 times when I was loading string and the string wasn't loading. It still smells like a burnt electric motor but luckily is functioning fine.
I've been folding the handle after every mow for four seasons now, no problems. I have heard that can be an issue though, so I pay attention not to pinch the wires.
I bought the deck mower two years ago and just use it around the pool and house trim. The axle broke within the first month. Could have been user error but it still broke. I was able to order one and replace it myself. I am still a fan. I since bought the string trimmer and leave blower. Oh, and I use it in side discharge.
we got a ge profile over 10 years old and no uneven cooking issues, ours is also like yours on no element on bottom and fan on back kind and total electric too no gas
The drawback I see in this tool is the holes in the blade being so close to the cutting edge will make the blade need more frequent replacement than some solid blades will . Probably not a big issue for home use .
Common problem also with that is possibly the sprocket/cog stripped the carter key which you want notice unless you actually take it off. Shears off and want pull wood through on front or back.
I just got it and it got pretty hot after cutting some screws with it. Is that normal? It wasn’t too bad, just hot to the touch closer to where the blade is at
My batterie ran out of warranty in 3 years , five and a half months later did not charge any more . The replacement is $379.00 dollars in Australia. Would I buy the replacement ? I don’t think so . My previous 3 lawn mowers 4 stroke lasted more than 17 years each @ at less than half the price so , good luck to the new owners 😢
I paid $50 USD, and it came with one 2Ah battery. That's what HD currently has it for, but it's out of stock: www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI-USB-Lithium-Power-Cutter-Kit-with-2-0-Ah-USB-Lithium-Battery-and-Charging-Cable-FVC51K/318584392
@@DoresoomReviews i will be doing this conversion in the near future. Did you determine if the batteries cutoff prior to total discharge? Also if I run both the converters do you have a wiring diagram to run both at once? Thanks!
I don't think the batteries have the low voltage cutoff, so just keep an eye on it. My daughter has driven this thing for over three miles on a 5Ah and the battery still had a bar left. I don't have a wiring diagram, but it's the same as with a single buck converter, just with an extra one in parallel. So two wires running from each battery +/- terminal, corresponding to each buck converter's +/- input terminals. Then two wires feeding into each of the car's power +/-input terminals, one from each buck converter's +/- terminals.
One question please, I have bought a car for my son and I changed the motors, I put in higher revs. my problem is that it works for 15 seconds and then it turns off by itself and turns on after 5 seconds. this happens constantly. it had a 12v battery 4.5Ah and I put a new 12v 9Ah one but it still does the same thing. Do you know what the problem is? Can you help me?
@@DoresoomReviews the old engines were 16000 r.p.m and the new engines are 40000 r.p.m. I also changed the battery with a new 12v 9Ah and the old battery was 12v 4.5Ah.
I agree with dannybigdod4384, you did an outstanding job with the video; unfortunately KREG has done it again and made a CHEEP tool out of plastic, I am so sorry the management of KREG thinks of ways to make cheep tools for our use, guess their bottom line is just profits, hated selling their junk when I worked at Home Depot!
Hi . Thank you for this video. My cabinet doors from 20 year old cabinets had a few Grass 1000 hinges with a 42mm bore spread (distance between the tiny side holes for screwing the hinges). I'm updating the hardware and the new hinges that I bought have a 45mm bore spread so I have to drill new holes. Already have the 35mm cup as these are old cabinet doors... Should I get this jig so I can drill the new side holes? Never done this before so trying to figure it out... Great video, thanks..
No, I'd just set the hinge in place, get it square to the door edge, and mark your hole location right from where the hinge shows you need them. If the previous holes are interfering, you can fill them with wood glue and toothpicks prior to drilling new ones.
I just purchased the 650 which has an abundance of power but like another person who purchased the same blower, it shuts down temporarily even with a full charge which is a concern. The unit has a 30 day return policy so I am still considering whether to return it or not, especially after reading that Ego’s customer service is lousy : (
Bought mine new in box from a liquidator....line iq doesn't advance the line without constantly fiddling with the power and speed buttons... and surprises you when it finally does
Bummer... Even with them running in parallel it seems like it doesn't have enough power and the voltage drops down to 6v when in use and regularly stops and starts with the engine sound. Might have to chalk this one up to a loss and try something else. Thank you
It doesnt hold your saw in place and is very easy to get out of alignment. I have cut wood with it where it moved out of alignment half way through the cut. One end of board was eight of " difference. I watch a youtuber who uses it all the time with no problems. I dont know how she does it! She successfully makes perfect cabinets!
If you don't get the guide adjusted parallel to your blade, or if you have a dull blade it can get out of alignment. The first time I ever used it I had some drift, but I discovered I didn't have the set screws tightened down enough.
Or the sprocket key is sheared off. Wood would not feed through check the sprockets and chain and as soon as you tried to put a piece through, you could tell the key had been shared off. Dewalt did not do a good job with that feature
That's a new one! Better that the key sheared rather than the sprocket or shaft failing though. Were the rollers completely stopped, or did they still turn until put under load? If they weren't turning at all it should be easy to tell the difference between the root causes, since mine were still turning but slipping the whole time.
I brought the line launcher to fruition when I interned at Milwaukee Tool a few summers ago. My name is listed on the authors, Luke Meyer. Built the first prototypes out in the aisle of Home Depot haha. Really cool to see it finally get published and I can comment and share it now! Figure 6. is the model of my original prototype! Used PVC and some hardware for the barrel attachment.
Yes, it can record video and take pictures. That's how I recorded all the thermal shots in this review video. The thermal camera can't natively screen cast. If the phone you have it plugged into can cast on its own, you could do it that way though.
This is capable of very good precision as is. If Kreg were to replace all the plastic parts with aluminum or magnesium castings, I suspect the circular saw + "XQ Accu-Cut" price would be up in the range of existing track saws, which are much more well-featured tools anyway (ability to bevel, superior dust collection, etc).
Not recommend, my one was broken as the fertilizer can cause quite severe corrosion and rust if a small amount water or moisture accumulate. Opened and found the seized shaft and damaged plastic gears.
Excellent review man, there isn’t too much on YT about these attachments it seems so Ty for taking the time 🙏🏻 Chervon makes some fantastic tools for those who aren’t nerdy about tools they’re the manufacturer of power tool brands such as ego kobalt, skil and flex. There may be one or two escaping me but they certainly make some nice tools. So many great tools on the market I genuinely don’t see how some of these fanboi type brand loyalist guys are only in one platform when many of them have a tool or two in their platform that run circles around the competitors.
