Hey mate, very excited for AC EVO. As a side subject for maybe another video, I like many others have selected IRacing as main sim. There are times especially in Australia that the lobbies for some of the lesser series (TCR, LMP 2/ 3 etc) don't have the numbers, but keeping an eye on the Iracing app lets us know how many are committing to a particular race and maybe a decent lobby. I think IRacing should include a "watching" selection to see if others are also seeing how many are going to sign up. Lastly, I would probably dive into LMU or Raceroom a lot more if they had an app and I knew the car and track combo and others signed up. Sometimes waiting on a full lobby in IRacing I quickly dive over to another sim just to discover no one in there or the track car combo I like I just missed. Over to you blue leader.
I only tried iRacing after watching your excellent videos. Saw an offer with UK Motorsport whereby if you sign up for membership (£25) you get a one year subscription so for a couple of quid a month you can't go far wrong. Really glad I did as the online racing is great!

I’m new to the whole racing thing this last year. Red Bull Ring and Formula racing absolutely crushed my safety rating and iRating this week. I had a few off tracks but kept getting taken out all week. Went from over 4.4 safety rating to 3.1 this week. As far as the Max/ Lando thing, I’m not exactly sure on all the rules. Still new. But it seems to me that Lando was going for everything and got some off tracks and pushed Max around a little bit, and that cumulated in Max taking it too far near the end there. Watching it just as a single incident, I guess it would be Max’s fault? It seemed like he was opening up the corner when that first contact happened, but I guess that’s moving under braking. But honestly, I’m surprised those kinds of battles don’t end in crashes more. Lando’s learned he can win, he’s confident right now, he’s gonna push harder cause he’s seen the other side now.
Verstappen is a great racing talent, he is also very talented to overreact and to be a litlle bit too aggressive. He is very similar to Michael Schumacher In this point. M.S. wanted to be always the best. I think thats the way you should act as a racer.
I get better performance with FPS capped. I have a 4080 with a 5800x3D and run everything on max settings with FPS locked to 118 fps. Screen does 120fps with Gsync. Depending on what is track I am on and the type of event, GPU sits at 60-80 load most of the time. And when it needs the extra grunt, the headroom is there. FPS will stay rock solid with no stutters or anything. If nothing else it should be tested on every rig to see what works best.
Very good race. It is one of my favourite cups on iRacing. BUT: It is very hard not to be wrecked. I do qualify every time but if my time isn´t good enough to start 3rd or better i do prefer to start from the pits. (iRating is appr. 1.8k)
Nice race! How do you get such high framerate? I got a 4090 with great cpu as well, getting 80ish. Do you know which settings should usually be turned off to boost. 80 is more than playable but wouldnt complain with 120 haha
@edgemasterrlol oh yeah that'll do it alright, tripple 1440p is a harsh one to do, I'm sure there is a setting combo which can help you, or you could downscale.to 1080p and in return have smooth ass frames. @Boostedmedia is the man to get in touch with, he runs monster screens so check his specs/settings!
Looking at the results you where in the first split of that same race, Jack, while I was in the second. Go figure. Correction, you finished 9th in that race, so must have been a different one.
@@mr1k666I had such a race this afternoon :-(. Big crash in the corner before start/finish. No way to avoid the mayhem. Still finished the race, but no pace at all because of the damage. Oh well, part of iracing, I guess

Nice vid but the biggest "heavy hitter" by far is SSR. Even on low always will use extra 20-30% GPU. Much more than the heavy hitters you waffle on about.

Well we shall see. I won't make my verdict until the game actually comes out and you reviewers are playing the game - not guessing what it will be. Pictures can be very misleading - so I am not holding my breath with all this hype talk from other videos on EVO. Seems like everyone is trying to get the SCOOP on this game, and they all say the same thing.

@@JACKZERYT haha its quite interesting. it was a british colony until 1949 we joined canada. Originally settled by the vikings even. But many of the people who stayed were from ireland. Im sure there was a big influx during the potato famine as fishing in newfoundland was unbelievable. Interesting connection, if you like history or travel its worth looking into.
we still need to wait before we judge. I mean just a few screenshots do not mean anything. They always look good most of the games but when you jump in game its 99% worse
During the interview , they said that will be on early access and it will be released in summer. They supposed to release it on spring but they delayed cause of the Nurburgring dlc
@franckjoseph4806 I hope they hit their estimate, early access can be quite tacky sometimes, I like a full release, hopefully they do Early access well!
@@JACKZERYTWhat they mean by early access is they will release on PC. By full access they mean when the game releases on all platforms. Early Access for Kunos isn't much different than the full one
Great Race Jack... Redbull Ring has killed my SR from 2.6 down to 1.2 with those tight off tracks. I looked at the Cammus before buying my Mini. dont think i'll regret my choice tbh though.
You're getting oversteer in the 2nd to last corner now than you were before with the mini because you're using 5th gear instead of 4th gear. When you were using 4th gear before, it delivered more torque to the rear wheels when you get back on power, which shifts weight a bit more to the rear giving the rear stability. Now you're using 5th, there isn't as much torque and thus not as much rear weight transfer and thus not as much rear stability. Now the question remains though, why the cammus is causing you to drive in higher gears. Fyi, the higher gear is faster though so stick with it.
@DrR1pper Good observations!! I think it's because It's easier to not over input steering if you get me, so I can draw my line better. I'll do more testing but gosh it's giving me alot to think about! Thanks for watching!
