It's sad from many angles, Jesse was the only one that gave him something, and also it happened to be a watch, a reminder of how little time he had left and that his clock was ticking.
Throughout the entire series . Skinny keeps his hat on the entire time he’s on screen in every episode he’s in . The one time he takes it off he gives it to jesse in el Camino . Men cried 😢
Y’all can’t say gale was a pure soul lmao he was knowingly synthesizing illegal and harmful drugs for the cartel. He lacked empathy for society, he’s not all that good morally.
jesse was such a great character. after jane died (or walt allowed her to) and walt went into the flop house to get him..the scene of jesse breaking down, blaming himself still guts me. on my first viewing i sobbed like an idiot... i was way too invested in the show at that point.
Breaking Bad was such a humanizing show. A good guy gone bad dealing with other people who had made similar choices as him along the way out of desperation or necessity. Jesse was the son Walter needed in his time of crisis.
What's funny, if you look at the scene as a whole, is that Gale accidentally made the perfect argument to convince Gus, by appealing to his one weakness: his perfectionism. All throughout Breaking Bad and BCS, it's clear that Gus only wants the best: the best lab, the best employees, hell, even the best revenge. By telling him how perfect Walt and his product were, Gale unwittingly pushed his buttons, and appealed to his pride. You can see it right after this extract; Gus is not convinced by Gale's arguments, until he basically hits the nail on the head by essentially saying this perfect lab deserves a perfect cook.
Bro I’ve watched el Camino like 3 times by now and I swear I’ve never seen this scene. Someone please tell me it’s like a scene that never made it into the final film or something other wise I’m gonna feel crazy
