@@IAmGuy-o8x I don’t believe so. It’s what’s called a “piano reduction”, meaning that it contains notes assigned to various instruments, not just the piano. Unlike other piano arrangements that explore changes in style or other aspects of music, piano reductions are meant to be as close to the full original score as possible. Keen listeners will notice, too, that certain cuts have been made in this version to make the piece work better as a single performance.
The tone is gorgeous, but some of the vowels are too spread. It could be one of the best renditions on RU-vid if the tenors could be heard better and the vowels were cleaner.
Thank you for posting this. We sang this song for the first time as a BYU men’s choir in 1989. Mack Wilberg was director then. I LOVED this song! It’s stuck with me and I can still remember my 2 tenor part 30+ years later. ❤
I've been learning it fore a few months now. It's pretty challenging, but it's also easily my favorite piece of music I've ever played in 10 years of piano playing!
That arrangement are not so accurate. In the main harmony line the 3rd chord never is not a minor dominant (v or V, Gm or G). It is a iv minor (Fm, minor relative) instead. General Performance: 9/10 Technique: 10/10 Arrangement: 8/10 This is the way.

Excellent, thank you for the inspirational performance and the wonderful piano arrangement. One of the silver linings I experienced in quarantine was a renewed interest in playing piano again after a 20+ year hiatus. Your music is a delightful experience on my musical journey - I hope to work it up enough to be confident to perform it in front of strangers, someday.
Thanks! I’ve been playing since I was young and started making up music (we call it “writing” to give it some kind of formality) my first year of learning music. I did a music minor at university and this year will mark 20 years since I started piano.
