"... I can teach technical but can't teach how to communicate with others..." That is patently one of the most absurd things I've heard. If you can't "teach" how to communicate with others then you're lacking communication skills. Unless we're talking about lazy or unmotivated individuals.
Wow. Earned a new sub from me! I have one concern. Im someone with 0 exp. In tech. Currently enrolled for B.S. CSIA. Is GRC an area I can make a career change to? “GRC is something you learn on the job.”
I took over a network for community college when I was 20. I loved it so much I got my CCNA and CCNP. It was the best time of my life even with the ups and downs.
Some of the aspects of this interview though are misleading. The security starts like Google security that one issue is recognition you can't get recognized you will never get interview that's why to come to you is more valuable. A second thing some jobs require by their contracts for you to have a certification. This is usually for the security certificate. As it required for this specific job, no. It's required for other jobs though. I will agree though knowledge is the biggest power
99% will not go from 0 to 100k after watching this. You might go from 0 to 40k. Think about that. You have no experience and some decently sized corp will give you the keys to their $ making workloads?
Can’t find an entry level position for more than 6 months. Studying since February, competed in a national lvl CTF and did an internship for FREE, and I can’t even land an interview. Actually I did ONCE for an entry level position which I got a rejection email saying “You are not qualified enough”, lol. Industry searching for unicorns and seems like bullshit to me. Seems like cyber security is the new trend within the IT industry to have something to talk about in conferences and online. Disgusted by the job market.

@@magnum-kj5ip I'm not sure if this question is addressed to me or BeardedITdad but I'll answer :) yes this experience is fantastic and very close to GRC, you can definitely leverage it once you build some cyber GRC skills, keep it on the resume :)

This aches my heart, whom to trust whom not to. I am glad there are many people out there, somewhere hidden (like in reddit) who just open share all knowledge and act like pillars for continuous education for IT and infosec. The rest are, sorry to say, just sellouts.
No offense to both of 'em. I am a subscriber to both and respect them a lot. But every time something seems good, there would be a wall of course. Tired of being bitten by course guys.
@@syedibrahimkhalil786 seriously, the way the market is now people are struggling or jobless these guys should know we do not have hundreds and sometimes thousands laying around to throw to a course and maybe get a chance. Much respect to both I listen to them daily, but they should note this.
@@syedibrahimkhalil786 What wall? If you're not willing to pay for their expertise, then figure it out yourself in a way that works for you. I'm not sure if we watched the same video because they both said more than enough on how to approach a career in GRC, and that course being promoted is not the 'end all be all'.
@@prowess2121 c'mon; don't tell me you don't know about these ,, psychological tricks" to sell something! This is not just about ,,me problem", it's bigger than that. A newbie would be in a hamster wheel forever. This promotion of ,,6 months - become pro", ,,oh my course has everything" is nothing but a full advertisement with top notch marketing skills. And don't tell me that the owner of the channel didn't get a single cent to make this video, and the referral link is just a link shorter.
