I kept my first one in a dark cupboard its been a month and there's no growth. (Were "lions mane" spores from Shiny Spores and grow kit) I bought 2 of your grow bags and spores from your co trader . I bought the easy AF grow bags. I'm a bit confused, is this a video for those kits too?
I would not follow this guide at all, nothing is explained properly. 50 seconds to "explain" a pretty complex process of fruiting... This is sure way to never have mushrooms grown.
Wondering if you guys could help.. I've using myco punks for a little over two years.. until the last 6 months contam has rarely showed its face... now..... EVERY single monotub I knock up is blue within two weeks.. every single one.. I havnt changed my method or area my spawn bags are sound its only when I'm bulking its really thrown me off and being just a small home cultivator for medical reasons it seems a bit of a jump to pay a few grand on a flow hood.. so for the last few months I've totally stopped of the last 7 tek tubs.. not one has been contam free.. not a single mushroom..prior to this I was knocking out a tub every month with crazy yields.. spore from OTC and tektubs from myco you can't go wrong but somewhere along the journey I did.. if someone could please help I'd greatly appreciate it
saw this is 6 months old lets hope you fixed it. . I had same issue used to grow lots with ease then last 2 years nothing and always contam. I changed vendor for spores that solved it.
OMFG i can't believe i just fucked wasted 20 parafilms and probably ruined 10 agar plates coating then ends of my last 2 cultures i had xDD cant believe i did that i tried topit it like you did but didn't stretch it then i just ended up putting two on each container like peace of tape there probably all gonna spill if they didn't already when i placed them in my air box >__< do you think i shpi;d take them out and properly seal? their just sitting in a shoe box in the still air?
Nice one, I agree with all of the above :) After a lot of experimentation I now use this PF technique - for colonised plates only, but not for my virgin agar plates - these I dry out from condensation with micropore, or nothing if they sit in my sab.
Received my order, but the stuff that arrived half seemed correct(the soil bag) and the other bag was grain...a complete different colour to the one in the vid which was much lighter..i REALLY cant afford to F this up. I have a really old nokia phone, i have no APPS etc and tried to get the phone number to mycopunks but cant find it. Can anybody shed any light on this please? BTW i just did as instructed in the 1st vid but im sure i was sent the wrong gear.
Hello all. I see people mentioning syringes on here, the videos say nothing about syringes, am i missing something here as i am gonna start the procedure this week and cant afford to F this up. Do i just follow the 2 vids on ytube?
Hi mate no, i havent innoculated the grain yet..i am gonna purchase the correct(i hope) syringe etc to do so. Thanks for the reply.@@thatmanwiththepizzas
@@pauly7166 well aslong as you’re on the right side of the law with it all 😅 on a side note I recommend our friends at orangutan trading for some spores if you plan on getting your microscope out the loft. Always nice looking at a little slide full of mushroom spores 😉
When you add the colonized grain to the CVG does the CVG not need to be wet? I have ordered a starter monotub and I'm confused as all guides say it should be at field capacity?
is it this one? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ObQpfw93Yww.html&ab_channel=MycoPunks Does the kit have a 1.4kg bag of millet so 5g of culture?
How did you guys get on? My bag of cvg looks like what he has here, so im going to cut the slit in the next day or so. Anyone have to mist or fan the bag to get pins develop?
I've been asking everyone on here the same thing, but no answers.. I'm literally about to cut my bag open right now to put it in food and conditions and wondering if I should give it a little mist of water. I remember seeing it somewhere I think, but I can't find that video. If you can help me out and let me know what you did that help.
@@aiaiiaae I did just they did in the video, and I've started getting pins forming now after a week. Some teeny weeny mushroom babies 🙌 Seemed to be enough moisture on the substrate surface and sides of the bag. I might have to open the bag and give it a misting though as it's drying out a bit
just harvested some wild yellow or golden oysters which have been becoming more common in Wisconsin, USA and put some in LME broth, I ran out of agar plates but wanted to get these started , will put it to agar once I make some new plates to check for contamination. Been growing almost ten years you would think I would know better than to run out of plates. Nice video peace to all !
Part 1 was detailed, part 2 alot questions un answered. Would be nice to get updated one also depends what kind of mushrooms you growing, the cut open slot could be bad idea and have too much oxygen, not enough moisture etc, what I'd do is better fold one corner of bag and leave other corner open but each for their own
Nice work but not sterile I think. I do not see a sterile process ! The tape is already contaminated with ambient contaminants, So how to apply perfectly sterile ? Perfectly sterile. because the tape is not sterile as we can see. I need an idea!
@@subtlesotl Thanks fir video. I learnt from you to do that. Not easy because if the moving is not smooth breaks can appear! Even the process is not completely sterile - for mycology is goud enough.I tested.
