I wished they would have talked more about his music. He has a great catalog of songs. I love the way Rick throw some did at Prince. They could have asked him how did if feel about Prince stealing his act and filming his performances.
Wow this was after his stroke and he sounds a little weak. But great interview. I followed the case and he was 100% innocent. Allegedly she was a druggie and they were all high and the rumor was her druggie boyfriend beat her up because she was away too long. And they came up with the kidnapping plot.

It's astounding to try to comprehend the contrast of Jeremy's life experience: going from life as a rich and famous star, to a helpless prisoner for the rest of his life.
There should have been subtitles for this, since I couldn't understand any of the questions. Also, I know he was pissed at MC Hammer for sampling Super Freak, but I wonder how he felt about parodies. I didn't think about this until now, but, since Weird Al made a parody of U Can't Touch This, (I Can't Watch Thus) somebody need to make a parody of Super Freak, about someone who's obsessed with computers. She's a cyber geek, cyber geek, She's cyber geeky, yow! I don't know which would be better, "She's a cyber geek", or "I'm a cyber geek". And when was this video made, since he died in 2004?
The funny thing now is that Vanilla embraces it now. I think Vanilla during the filming of this show was insecure about his former image and was defensive into separating his actual self from his public image.
I remember when this first dropped, I was VERY impressed....I had also just fallen in love with someone. And about 3 months into the relationship, Johnny Gill was in concert in mine and his hometown, Wash, DC..at Warner Theater. And guess who joined him for this duet, halfway into the show?...YUP!...Coko, came out and turned the joint out. Her range was CRAZY..and I recall how real their chemistry was.
Rick James was amazing artist. I started listening to him later in life I’m 42 now and man I can’t get enough of his music and old school performances. I wish I could’ve hung out with him and partied with him.
