@@Starburst7641 I would advise using a mask and ventilation to not breathe it in but it is totally fine to sand it. I’m not a doctor so I can’t speak on health concerns. As far as I’ve researched there are no major risks. About the same with most microplastics in the hobby. 😅. If you are looking for a smoother finish I would use higher grit and sand in circles. I was just ruffing up surface for this project.
I was an oldhammer player back in the late 80s. I was normally focused on building my army of elves but really had a soft spot for snotlings. The best kit I had of them was the snotling war wagon. Essentially a rustic looking set of bunk beds on wheels with a studded log on the front which was set up similar to a combine harvester as it ran into its opposition. This was a wonderful metal kit.
Grandpappy Nurgle is just the best. Plague and rot and nurgling butts make the 40k universe go round. 🤣👍 When I played, they were my second favorite army...right behind Orks 😂

Love this video! The White Dwarf 100-110 or so are my absolute favourites, it's when their boxed games really took off along with Rogue Trader. Your vignette looks wonderful as well, fantastic work. My favourite minis from that era are the bald Slaanesh Champion with four arms and a serpent's body instead of legs, and the Blood Bowl Elf Blitzer with mohawk. Pure 80's goodness.

Nice work! Maybe I ought to start stockpiling more junk to this end? And yes, the old school Warhammer artwork is brilliant. I was first exposed to it when I bought the gatefold vinyl version of Bolt Thrower's classic "Realm of Chaos" album and I loved it right away because that's as metal as it gets!
@@Zambies Sadly, I don't anymore. I sold off my vinyl collection since it was just gathering dust and I got good money for it, too. But that album...whew! It was like the fist of God descending upon your turntable at the time since 7-string guitars were a new and rare thing and a band tuning down that low (A below low E) was unheard of in those days. Karl Willetts himself told me "Ah yeah! Strings flappin' in the breeze," back in the day. Ah, to be a geriatric headbanger, and my gateway bands were better than yers, dang it. *j/k*

Old Hammer, Middle Hammer, New Hammer ALL THE HAMMERS. Dang Original Blackmane, the first model I painted. It was terrible but who cares it's awesome. At the moment I'm collecting the Aspect Warriors, I'm trying to get at least 1 from each era, of model at the moment I'm missing the old metal Dire Avengers and Banshees. Also Grandpa Nurgle loves you to.
Today I learned that I am old haha. I was into GW stuff back in the 90s and never heard the term “Oldhammer” before. I miss painting minis - I wonder if I still have some in storage. Anyway this was cool and relaxing and the result looks great. All hail the mighty (and mysteriously clairvoyant) algorithm.
The use of the 3D printer supports was really creative as it was pulling double duty evoking the mangroves in many swamps as well as looking like bronchioles in a diseased pair of lungs
This turned out really nicely. I like the rather brownish Greater Daemon instead of the usual greenish tones. Somewhere the Grandfather is smiling on this little project, I'm sure. Thanks for sharing! (Great work on the voice-over narration, by the way. I'm looking forward to listening to you more often from now on.)
I've still got my old metal abbadon the despoiler (and while it's in one piece) it's a great little model I was so excited when it came out! But I really love my boxy old bjorn. It's fun putting him next to his current model
