Dude ngl I was so upset when Mickey and Ian got back together. I mean I don't really mind it anymore, but I thought Ian was having self discovery and really having a character arc. He was taking better care of himself, treating himself with more self-worth, and overall just seemed happier. Then Mickey came back and it felt like Ian kind of lost a good chunk of that growth, yknow?

So, I finally got around to Trevor in the show, I've come across a lot of opinions about him... mostly that he's boring, a stereotype, or cute and too "healthy" for the Gallaghers. Aaaand Seriously? In almost every scene he goes from zero to hundred because of every little thing. Simply because Ian doesn’t know something, doesn’t know how to read minds, or how here he’s just tired and will think about it some more. This obvious parody of Mickey's temper here doesn't work at all for me. With Mickey this was understandable, in character and not so often. Trevor seems to me very fixated on himself, only he is right and knows everything, and Ian knows nothing, he has to read minds and adjust on the fly. There are some gaslighting, condescending notes from Trevor and Caleb to Ian. Perhaps my opinion is influenced by the fact that I already know the ending and I really like Gallavich, although they had their downfalls. I was really looking forward to Caleb and Trevor's appearance, since according to reviews they taught Ian about normal relationships and stuff. I was expecting something better and I don't see it. Mickey had problems with his environment and internal and external homophobia. And they are more open and understandable. The supposedly normal relationship with Caleb and Trevor smacks of awkwardness, gaslighting, and this opens up new problems. If they taught Ian anything, it's that normal relationships suck, too, and that seemingly good guys have shitty sides lurking beneath the surface. Not that he didn't know that with his old guys. Well, he became convinced that the young and openly the same assholes. Also bad chemistry with both Caleb and Trevor. Trevor could have good friendly chemistry until he explodes over something. And in this scene, he wants sex from Ian, not friendship, so I’m not sure if they could ever become friends
