After 2 years of watching this I finally went to tarpon springs. I was so happy when I bought natural sponges and soap. Greek food is tasty too. Thank you Christine for telling us about this.
I hope it’s actually dead!!! They are classified as animals. It’s hard to tell if they are alive or dead. Imagine it was alive and you be cleaning your dishes with it 😭
Right now and for some years my life is stalled as I care for a husband with dementia and many health problems. I feel guilty that I look forward to a day when I can care more for myself. I have so many sizes in my closet!!
Joy, it sounds like you do have a lot on your plate, but looking forward to some me time isn’t selfish, it’s necessary, so please don’t waste a second feeling guilty about it! You’re clearly quite strong. You’ve got this!! 😊 Have an amazing day!
Please stop pushing Sea Sponges, they have been overharvested from our oceans. Your plastic sponge is made of chemicals, and so is everything. There is very little scientific evidence that Synthetic sponges or any plastics on your skin can harm you, it's just plastic. The common marine sea sponge takes ~40 years to grow to the size of a baseball, and they are critical in marine habitats. So please, if you want something "natural", go use a luffa. Can't you clean your synthetic sponge the same way using a microwave oven? Everything in our human lives is made from oil, why do you put oil in your car? You are insane, "natural" doesn't mean not detrimental to our marine ecosystems. Use your words carefully. I'm upset by your video.
Thank you I just resigned up Im just starting to listening to the training again. Ima discount coach right now yet I do eventually plan to get to emerald
Your food plates and everything you know are chemicals please stop saying chemical as though its a bad thing!!!! I get in this case its not great but you could use a different word!!
anne 20 You’re completely correct that everything is made of chemicals, even good ole H2O, but I think, unless you’re in a science setting, it’s not uncommon to use the term in the way I did. 😊 When you go live, you don’t always have the luxury to pick your words as wisely as you may want.
1:39 ... this is the kind of person you're taking advice from in case you came here to look for an intellectual advice. 2:25 ... if you only dry the synthetic sponge by squeezing it hard with one hand after each use it'll last over six months looking like new. No need for a veriety of potentially corrosive chemicals to clean it. almost done.... 3:14 this lady doesn't understand what the word chemical means yet she mentioned a long list of them to clean the sea sponge. I just gotta say the salesman who convinced her to buy the organic house of microbes and pathogens found the perfect target to sell to.
Absolutely true. Just flipping use a synthetic one instead of taking out sponges from the flipping ocean, haven't we overharvested them enough? This lady low key dumb as frick
What nonsense are you talking .. omg.. how can synthetic ones be better??? Natural Sea Sponges are some of the simplest multicellular organisms alive. ... One of the many benefits of using natural sea sponges for bathing and washing is that they contain enzymes that make them naturally antibacterial, and inhibit the growth of bacteria, mildew and mold.
Cristine I have a college degree in human services yet im hoping to inspire others too. I used to start a program and stop yet having people in my corner keeps me on track.
Those are harmless chemicals, if they would cause harm why would anyone allow to sell them? So what if its NATURAL? You're killing an animal/organism. Artificial sponges exist for a reason.
@@KkmeArts You are absolutely correct! Overharvesting of Spongia officinalis has significantly decreased populations. It takes 40 years to grow to a size of a baseball.
By law, Sponge fisherman must cut them with a serrated knife and leave a piece there. That piece will grow back an inch or two the first year. Also, the sponge must be 5 inches across in diameter. We have been harvesting sponges for over a thousand years. We had an algae bloom that killed the fish and sponges and the plastic companies came out with the synthetic. SOAK IT UP!
