Has anyone tried dyeing these with Safir navy? I bought the Marino after purchasing the matte black. My initial reaction when seeing them for the first time was they sent the wrong product. Contacted Thursday for dyeing advice and received some bureaucratic response asking for order number, etc.
Helpful video. We found Amazon had the Watkins heater end cap replacement. When I pulled the old cap off, i could see the crack that was the source of the leak. Note, it's hard to work on the heater due to so many tubes and cables around the unit
Well it’s not been a long time and I can give you a good update. First thing I’ll say I believe they’ve updated these so my update is only for this version I purchased. These shorts stain very easily. I believe it’s from the chlorine but can’t be for sure. Because of that I cannot recommend them. But I’ve heard the updated version rectified this issue.
I love 47 so much too, these two are not bright at the first sight and not popular patterns In other words, they are rare which bring you the unique looks , I think you will love the two over time !
Did they discontinue Burnt Ginger or change the name and formulation to Burnt Copper? These look the Captain Classics because of the lace style, but their site doesn't offer a Burnt Ginger.
@@vhockada Oh, I definitely believe you, brother. I wasn't suggesting you were wrong about the name or anything. Hope I didn't come off that way. I just wasn't sure if you happened to know more about what happened with the color. Maybe with the introduction of Arizona Adobe, they made some changes. It seems like Burnt Ginger was almost in the middle of Arizona and Burnt Copper.
@@closinginonclosure oh no you’re good I wasn’t sure myself which is why I wanted to check. I didn’t know they got rid of it. Thanks for watching though
i bought multiple boots and shoes from Thursday and i notice major size inconsistencies, even within the same models. I have a size 9, 9.5, 10 and a 10 W in the sneakers…. same feet though! :-) however if you return too many shoe they will flag your account! be aware.
Classics and Resilients use different lasts. The Amazon classics are probably pretty old versions. A number of revisions have been made since then and also they switched lasts for Resilients, so there will be differences.
I’m talking about the water that may stand behind the dam. My thought was to create some weep holes in the tape at the low spots to allow the water to flow through.
@@GeneCatron I don’t have a long term review of these but my question to you is how is the water going to make it through the 3m tape? Plus I’m not 100% sure what you’re talking about. I’m not drilling holes in my hood that’s for sure.
There appears to me that some gaps are already in the tape. I’m saying create some more gaps in the low spots where water would stand to allow the water to flow on through.
I got my aeroskin, before installing I cut away tape to create weep holes in the low spots. Rained yesterday and I worked with no ponding. I’m happy with the result.
Duuuude, boot lover and miata driver??? It's like I found a twin. I daily an ND2 6MT with a pair of Grant Stone boots regularly lmao. Haven't tried Thursday yet, but am really curious about these. My Grant Stone's are the Navy color and after about a year of patina, they can look pretty dark like these, almost black in some light. I have mixed feelings on how dark it can get, but at the same time I really love the midnight blue look.
All due respect....I wanna see ya swing it....that's the review I wanna see...The performance...Again with much Respect...from St Petersburg Florida....
I didn't go through your nearly 100 comments (so far) to see if this was already stated, but I can say that the rugged and resilient captains have a leather midsole whereas the 'classic' series have a EVA comfort strip in place of the leather midsole which I believe is a dense higher quality foam. The originals also usually do not have the steel shank and just seem to overall be built to prioritize comfort and flexibility. That's just my impressions and information I've gathered here and there, can't guarantee information accuracy. But it's pretty much a fact that many if not all of their R&R captains are built with differences to their "classic" series and it's not just the type of leather.
Hopefully you are happy with it because i don't know how you would ever remove it. Although i like the look, these are a permanent instal as best i can tell. I suspect removing them would damage the paint.
But to answer your concern, I would imagine a heat gun and some patience and it’ll come off I’m sure. Also the purpose of it is to prevent bug damage or rocks by deflecting debris up and over the windshield. The looks is a bonus. I loved it.
@@vhockada yea I thought about the heat gun but there is a good chance of damaging paint with that. I am back and forth on getting one of these for my Tacoma. Really like the look.
@@richardhoward3462 I used to work at a Ford Dealership and often times customers will ask us to remove the pin stripes or dealer logos and with a heat gun and straight razor it comes off without damaging the paint. You would need a whole lot of heat to hurt the paint I would imagine. I’m prettty sure it’s safe.
Hi Vance Edward, I have a water leakage on the opposite side from the endcap. Who could provide me with an solution? There was a frost damage on the endcap and I‘m afraid that the opposite side has also suffered. Thank you!
