One of the first records I bought as a 16 year old was the 1974 studio version with this cast. Gary Bond will ALWAYS be MY favourite Joseph, because after listening to it more than 100 times all the way through, it's forever embedded. Funny really, many years later, still remember every word amd the way it was sung, and the song order.. it truly is amazing to see the cast singing it here.. I bought the 1974 album of Joseph, and must have played ot through at least 100 times. Gary Bond was without a shadow of doubt, the best Joseph ever. Even now, to years later, I cannot listen to another version, as I have the exact tome, voice, tempo etched firmly in my head as of I have a photographic memory of the album.. luckily, the 74 studio version album is still available on Spotify, so I often put it on for a couple of songs (but end up listening ro the whole album again!) Great to see these live earlier versions, almost the same as the later album

Wow, this is so 70's! I still think the version with Donny Osmond is the best. I can only imagine if he actually did this play in the 70's during his teen idol days. It sure would have been totally different and probably would have looked like this.

Really brilliant to watch this original version I had the vinyl in the early 70s. I’d forgotten how many extra tracks they have added over the years. I also forgot about the two references to Jesus Christ superstar music in the show as well. I loved this video very much. Thanks for uploading it

I love the Internet. To find the original version of this is amazing. Its quite a short musical, even watching it 40plus years later when they have padded out the running time with more dancing etc. Has the larger brother been in many tv programmes since?
