Sorry about that. We have such a short window before people walk in, I sometimes have to skip things especially when they aren’t cooperating. I’ll do better next time! Safe travels!
I believe there is. I don’t know off the top of my head how to do it but if memory serves the manual provided instructions on how to turn off/adjust displays. Thanks for watching.
We purchased our van already built out by Grech. This type of sofa can be found in many vans from companies like Airstream, Roadtrek, and Pleasure-Way. Sorry don’t know where they source it from. Good luck! Thanks for watching!
Hi Wade. I learn a lot from your videos. Have you tried to install a rear camera for your dashcam? And if so, how did you route the wire from the back to the front dashcam?
Thanks - check out how I installed the rear view camera for the digital rear view mirror: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-d-q-kQT3QA8.html. I’m sure there are more professional ways, but it’s worked for me quite well for the past year or so!
@@howwevan Thanks Wade. I watched the video and noticed you did not install the rear camera. However, you do have your auxiliary rearview mirror and I'm wondering how you routed the wires from that rear camera to it. I have a 2024 Terreno AWD. It has a factory built-in rear camera in my model but to my knowledge it has no recording capabilities. One hack I am considering is installing the rear camera in the top center console and let it record the footage from the factory rear mirror. Kind of funky, but much less wiring.
I’m pretty sure I installed the rear view camera for the digital rear view mirror. I ended up drilling a hole under the passenger seat. It should be in the video I linked but let me know if you don’t see it.
Are there enough camping spots where there are not a lot of people ? We are thinking about buying a camper van but need to go to places where we aren’t smelling other people’s camp fires . Is this a pipe dream? Thanks in advance for your input!
I have to say it’s not too bad where and when we have gone. I can’t complain about camp fires. Typically if you are reserving a spot online, you can see how crowded it is when you make the reservation and you can try to get a spot in a corner. We love the campervan! Recommend it!
I have a Viair that I carry in my Subaru Forester. I like that I can air up all my tires in less than 10 minutes from start to finish. those little pumps are ok for getting the pressure up in a tire, but you’re not doing all your tires. Can’t wait to see your Alaska trip.
That is a good point … viair can inflate as many tires as you need it too … boy if I had to inflate more than that one tire with the little air compressor, I might still be there! We are just starting to plan the Alaska trip so stay tuned for more on that. Thank you for your comments … always a pleasure hearing from you! Safe travels.
What size bedding do you use? we just bought a 24 Turismo and no one seems to know what size. we pickit up in utah on friday so i wanted to bring sheets from AZ wit us there lol
Sorry for the delay. Congrats on your new rig!!! We use queen mattress topper and bedding. Not the perfect fit but good enough. Thank you for watching! Safe travels.
I will to see your decision when you we stock in Kentucky to fix a problem how much you will like Grech !!! When it will be the time to resale, how much you will like the Grech. You compare a company that have bern in the trailer and motorized vans in many years and tell us they are the same. You have the typical newbies reaction when it’s time to compare two RV manufactured company, prefer the best because it’s cheaper and more important because you love it. Now imagine y if you fall in love with Roadtrek. I wish you the best, alway stay in California.
Thank you for subscribing. The suspension on the Turismo is what comes on the Sprinter. Grech doesn’t modify it. We upgraded our suspension - check out our Mod video for more detail (we have been happy with it!): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-68BbYqRv9gE.html
For fridge smell, get a small box of baking soda, open the top, put it somewhere in your fridge, even stuffed in the back. Baking soda absorbs odours. It'll last a long time, and when it stops, replace it with a fresh box and use the old one, with vinegar, to clean sink and shower drains. I imagine it would clean the toilet, too. :) When your fridge isn't being used, and turned off, put something in the door so it can air out. Being sealed can make it smell. A good wipe out with vinegar should help. Hopefully, I get my Class B next week. I don't think I'll put that much in it, but one never knows. :) I'm still trying to figure out where I'll put the kitty litter box. The tiny wet bath is not an option. Jon in rural BC, Canada
The Braun UFL has a button for door. Unfortunately the door is NOT automatic. Pretty hard for a person in a wheelchair with weak arms to close the door. That is the FIRST thing they need to fix on this vehicle.
I"m interested in knowing if the ride is different. I'm looking for the quieter cab and road noise insulation. Also...the tanks...are they heated sufficiently for winter travel.
The Sprinter is the same in both Grech and Airstream. The tanks in the Grech are heated. We have used the tank heaters in cold weather and been fine. However, with an extended period of cold weather or temps below freezing, we winterize the rig. Thanks for watching!
We have a video on the Luno air mattress: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q_m0lzAiMFI.htmlsi=9m3kt4xYCT2MyoZl Thanks for the question and for watching! Safe travels.
We moved the digital mirror recently to the dashboard. We like it better there. We did try to replace the rear view mirror but cracked the windshield so won’t try that again. You can see the mount we used to put it on the dashboard on our website - it’s an easy fix! Thanks for watching.
What year is you MB van, i.e. not the Grech build year, the chassis year? Thanks in advance. P.S. Have you ever been told you look like James Caan when he was young?
Hello, our chassis was built Oct 2022 so I believe that is a model year of 2023 and Grech build 2023 (probably Sept or Oct). I appreciate the comparison to James Caan! Thanks for your comment.
The Grech rv is fantastic! The only problem is the fridge is way too small for a big luxury rv like this. The van is the length of a class C rv. That’s pretty long for a van. But must make a bigger fridge.
My understanding is that Grech is not putting in back windows that open for 2024 as standard. They will put in windows that open per special request during ordering. Apparently there were issues with the quality from supplier but Grech will do it if requested. Thanks for watching! Safe travels!
1st off Riverside huh, guess welcome home is appropriate 😊 2nd thanks for sharing those models with us, well done on the walk through. Until the next video keep traveling and having fun.
Grech home base is Riverside in lovely Southern California so we stopped by on our way up north. Thank you so much, glad you liked the tours. Appreciate your comments! Safe travels!
Yes I think it would be easy to park. It’s probably the same size as our Turismo with our boxes on back and we find that easy to park. Safe travels and thanks for watching!
There is a twin bed model I just learned for Terrano. Not sure if there are seat belts (Turismo twin beds don’t have seat belts). Let me know if you learn if they have seat belts or not. Thanks me for watching! Safe travels!
I like the large refrigerator. If you’re traveling with all the seats filled,it’s nice to have lot’s of fridge space. Even if it’s just 2 people it’s nice to have large fridge and freezer. We need lots of ice.
They both performed well. We have had the Grech longer and it has done great. The underside of Grech is better protected but they both have tank heaters and neither are all season RVs. Thanks for watching and for your question! Safe travels!
These days we stream more than watch dvds. But nice to have when you can’t stream or hook into cable. Honestly can’t remember the last time watched a dvd. 🤷♀️ Thanks for watching us over a DVD!!! 😆
Hello to both of you. First of all, I want to thank you for your channel. Your valuable experience is precious in order to properly select the choice and options for all buyers. Although Grech is a new player in this high-end Class B niche, there are no dealers in Canada unlike Airstream. Therefore, is there a way to import one at an equivalent total cost of a new airstream similar to your opinion? Currently, the only possible option is to buy a Greek at the limit of our common borders, pay a US state tax, then a Canadian federal sales tax, a provincial sales tax, add customs fees and convert our currencies...! At the end of this, no Canadian will be able to acquire one, unless it is registered in an American state and the vehicle remains in the USA for more than 6 months per year. Could a Grech representative perhaps find a solution to this impasse? Thank you for your collaboration. Your Canadian neighbor located in Montreal, who dreams of spending his retirement visiting Uncle Sam's country. Best regards. Ps. The historic city of old Quebec is a must for your next trip.😉
Hello and thanks for reaching out. We hope to make a trip to Canada soon! Montreal and Quebec will be on the short list! As for your questions about buying a Grech in Canada and the difficulties… please reach out to Grech directly sales@grechRV.com. Hopefully they can help you. Good luck! Hope to see you on the road.
Glad you found it helpful. I agree with you; however, that isn’t how they use their van. But they can sleep in if they need/want to which was important to them. Thanks for your comment!
I’m sorry to hear about your airstream. We were fortunate to have had a good one come off the line but I understand how frustrating it can be when something needs to get fixed and the aggravation is made worse when customer service is bad. I’m not sure where you are located but the Airstream dealer in Santa Barbara was very helpful in servicing ours. Hopefully once the issues get resolved you can forget the headaches and enjoy your rig and van life! Good luck!
Great video! 👍 It's a nice luxury van. A lot of people'd love to take it on weekends. A small fridge is practical for 19 feet; however, a portable induction cooktop may be suitable. I won't have enough ingredients from the refrigerator to use two cooktops. I wish they could one day install a whole electric incineration/Cinderella toilet and eliminate the blank tank. If I buy this campervan, I want to take it skiing for a few months. I won't find a black tank dump station with ten feet of snow during a blizzard. After paying over two hundred grand, I can't get over another manufacturer, and they give me a potty toilet, not even a cassette toilet.
Thanks for watching and for your comments. I learned something new … never heard of Cinderella incineration toilets before. I looked it up and very intriguing. I’m going to keep an eye out. I would love to see one in action!
