Thanks for the video. I just installed the rail on my Mini 14 #187-xxxx. Took me about 90 min but was in no hurry. Your instructions are very clean and easy to follow. I installed a Holosun HE507K-GR on the rail is fits very well. Now off to the range in a week or so to sight in. I'll laser bore sight it in the back yard before I go.
In your opinion, how do these compare to magpul's mbus 3 sights? Better, equal, worse? They're about 50$ more for a set of the manual folding ones and about 100$ more for a spring loaded set
I have a 580 series mini with the light barrel profile. No BS. So I’m guessing the new 08 and later version will not fit. Mine seems to have been manufactured in 06 but still has old style barrel.
Can Samson please make something that works with the 10/22 16” barrel. I bought MGE exclusive B-TM and I was disappointed to see that I cannot add the heat shield. Please make It out of metal, not plastic. Its obvious that the stock has cut-outs in it forward of the rear sight to accept something. Choate makes a shield, that drops in, supposedly. But it PLASTIC TOO. No plastic, please.
is there any way to install this on the special edition factor ruger that come with samson stock and sites ? This model is begging for the heat shield right out of the box but it comes with no dovetail site in the barrel. How would I can attach heat shield with no dovetail ?
Just a quick note for anyone who's thinking of upgrading their mini-14 to a Shilen heavy barrel - this mount will not fit right out of the box. You will have to do slight amount of grinding on the barrel for the Hannibal rail to fit. Otherwise, I love the rail - it's a God-send.
Ryan this is Larry again. On my 4 trips to the shooting range with the ATM installed and the Hannibal rail the trigger assembly has fallen out all four times I've replaced it twice and the gunsmith has replaced it twice. Do you have any ideas? My rifle is a mini 30 only using US made brass ammunition.
