So your mother knows she's been misspelling her name all these years? Sorry, I couldn't resist. I'm a smartass. Where is she from. I traced us back to one entry point, South Carolina. And I've actually visited the town of Boykin, SC.
I bought it out of a pile of bellhousings. I'm not sure, but I believe it's from a late 80's truck. It looks a little different from the bellhousing that's currently in my 1979 truck. I can get the Ford part number if you need it.
@@michaelboykin7091 I need to start the engine outside, but the gearbox is on the car and I don't want to take it out. so I have to get this Bellhousing.
@@WikingWoky There are adapters you can buy, that allow you to bolt the starter up, without a transmission installed. Check ebay. I have one, and initially planned to use it, before I found an inexpensive bellhousing.
@@WikingWoky I paid $50 for the bellhousing. This is not the same starter adapter I bought, but looks similar...www.ebay.com/itm/294649677717?chn=ps&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-117182-37290-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=294649677717&targetid=1645685073568&device=c&mktype=&googleloc=9013899&poi=&campaignid=16730423415&mkgroupid=135815925780&rlsatarget=pla-1645685073568&abcId=9300841&merchantid=6296724&gclid=CjwKCAjwtp2bBhAGEiwAOZZTuFD6BZ-Rp6DbGtOMEdCVXHQR_me13_DOU4mBjO265yNu3tUm-pL7pBoCStEQAvD_BwE
Thank you. No, I haven't installed the engine. I've been prepping the truck for it. I installed hydroboost, and I'm currently installing a new wiring harness. I planned to do those upgrades before the engine install. But based on outrageous fuel prices, the engine install is on indefinite hold. I really enjoy looking at on the test stand anyway.
I don't know how much power it will make. I was going to have it dyno tested, but decided not to. But considering it's a 502 cubic inch engine, and the components I chose, it should make quite a bit more than 550 pound feet. Enough to twist stock driveshafts if I get stupid.
