Paradise of Bachelors is a Record Label, Recording Company, Soundsystem, and Archive located in the North Carolina Piedmont and in the subluminal aether. We are dedicated to documenting, curating, and releasing under-recognized musics of the American vernacular, historical and contemporary alike, with an emphasis on the South-broadly defined-and its global sound diaspora. Drawing from our background as folklorists and collectors, with all our projects we endeavor to commit ourselves to in-depth, detailed contextual research and the presentation thereof, to careful and compelling curation and design, and to respectful and mutually beneficial collaborations with artists and other partners.
Jake, Mr. Fussell, you are an Americana treasure. Thank you so much for your heart and soul art. I hope we get to see you somewhere around Atlanta soon. -Doug Pratt, Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

I met Jo Harvey at this dance, and I had a crew cut, a red sports coat And they called me rubber legs
Had the honor of being an art student of Terry at CSU Fresno in the 1970s. Drawing class. First assignment was to 'go outside and draw the sun.' What a course.
