"The second" is used when the child is named for a relative other than the father. If my brother had been named for his paternal grandfather instead of his maternal grandfather, he would be "[Name] the Second". That's why I did a double take when there was a cartoon about James Bond's nephew called "James Bond, Jr." I do hope that James Bond's sister coindidentally married a man also named James Bond and not that 007 was his nephew's father.

When a relative or close friend keeps trying to "borrow" money from you claiming to need it to make ends meet, go to their home with either a budget book, like a Dome one, or with a laptop or tablet with budgeting software on it. Sit down with them with all of their bills, bank statements, and a list of things like CDs, stocks and bonds, 401K, pension, SS income, and any savings, along with a list of their debts, such as any mortgages, car loans, credit card bills, and any other loans. Help them organize it all into a proper budget. Start with all sources of their income and the savings account. You need to know how much is coming in before you can start paying out. Next, list all essential regular bills. That would include the rent or mortgage, utility bills, medical bills, car payments, medical insurance, car insurance, other car bills, out of pocket medical bills, school loans, any other loans, groceries, necessary household maintenance and repairs, a small amount put aside into a savings account for emergencies, and internet service. TV service is not an essential bill, so it goes into the non critical category. Besides, you can watch all sorts of stuff for free online if you have internet service. I included internet service in the essential category because you can do tons of stuff for free online once you pay the monthly service bill. The next category is non critical or meaning they get paid if you can afford it after paying for essential stuff. Bills in the non critical category include things like credit card debt, and private schooling, etc. If you are drowning in debt consider homeschooling or public school instead. Most other regular bills also go in this category. Next general section is non-essential stuff like TV service, eating out, clothing, entertainment, sports, and hobbies. I wonder, does sports count as entertainment, or a hobby, or as it's own category? I guess it depends on the person. Don't forget an essential category for taxes, including property taxes. The government won't forget, so you can't afford to either. I don't know all of the possible categories, but a good budget book or software app will be able to help more than I can. If your borrower doesn't have any kind of a computer set them up with a budget book. If your borrower refuses your help with setting up a budget, offer to pay for them to see a financial planner. If they refuse that offer, too, then you will know that they are not serious about fixing their money problems or paying you back, and instead, just want to mooch off of you. At that point, tell them that the bank of [Your Name's] ATM is now closed--permanently!
Never be ashamed of getting welfare IF you truly need it! I had to get food stamps for awhile until I got back on my feet. It was a Godsend. 😮 Now I'm at the age that I receive Social Security and it's how I live. Making my SS stretch was difficult at first, but I'm doing fine now. I'm 75 y.o.
This video doesn't even make a noise when a passage of time msg is shown. I would rely on that bc I'm usually tabbed out. just listening to the story. I also have a suggestion. When it says "Next day" or "3 months later" or any passage of time, could those parts be read out loud? Since I usually listen without watching the screen. those parts being audible (actually spoken aloud by someone) would be wonderful.

These stories originate in Japan, China, and other Asian countries. The marriage and inheritance and financial laws may be different than the country you live in there may even be different family traditions that aren't easily understood. These stories are edited for dramatic affect. Sometimes, the translation from one language to another doesn't always make proper grammatical sense. Just enjoy the story for what it is, entertainment.
