The first time I heard these songs was in 95. I always thought this was him in his room. I just heard in a podcast that this was on the radio. Blew my mind. I never heard the intro or the talking in between each song
Heard this on radio in 95 I recorded it on a tape ..lol holding it up to radio being quiet as possible.. I years later lost the tape .. I wondered if I'd ever find it or hear it again and today I'm back in 95. And it not lost to time..
When he says, "while I was driving with one foot" he means he used his foot to also steer because he needed his hands to write down lyrics. Imagine Kurt driving and steering with one foot while writing down a song that he weirdly thinks resembles "Taxman." 😆
I love this performance, but one thing that bugs me and I get it is causal, is how the DJ has his mouth full when talking. There. I said it. Now on with the great music.
I'd be happy to give it a shot, but I'm having a hard time finding Tow Away Zone in a higher quality than 128kbps. After giving it a bit of a try with that, I don't think I'd probably be able to get it sounding all that good. If you have a higher bitrate copy, link me up with it, and I'll see what I can do.
similar to other commenters here I had 'Opinion' on the Ultra Rare Trax bootleg - I wasn't sure if it was a home demo - amazing to have it in context now with the patter between him and the DJ. Oh and the other songs!
