Can you help me with something? I see you used Thomas Penton's Cliffhanger. What version is it please as I have found the "original" on here but sounds completely different from the version you played. Trying to source it on vinyl but is becoming a mission to locate the version that you have used. Thanks in advance :)

Hi there, glad the video helped. Yes this will keep you using your vinyl turntables for many more happy years to come, plus you get the feel and pleasure of mixing with vinyl too. I have a very 'hefty' laptop, so I've not experianced any lag at all, so I would also suggest making sure you have a fairly up to date computer. Check out my mixes, and you can see me mixing with the vinyl using rekordbox. So I record the video's using my Canon 5D mk IV, and Canon 750d DSLR cameras. I edit using Adobe Premier Pro. For my live streams, I use a webcam and a DJI Osmo Action 3 camera, and record these mixes with OBS, which I then edit using Premiere Pro also. You can't record through rekordbox using the DJ Interface 2 as rekord box isn't connected to the Mixer, so wouldn't have a clue what you were doing with the faders and other fx on the mixer
@@alexeneas I currently record through rekordbox via my ddj1000. DVS doesn't work just with the ddj1000 so was going to purchase the DVS as to use the timecode and would hope this would still record without buying further sound cards ?
Nice video, congratulations! I have two questions for you: 1) Does Audacity recognize the Pioneer interface 2? Can I record directly without going through rekordbox? 2) Can the phono signal be connected to the microphone input of the audio interface?
In terms of recording your mix, no Audacity doesn't recognise the Interface 2. The Interface is used just for playing tracks from Rekordbox, and not for recording your mix. I'm not sure what you mean about the microphone input, as there isn't a mic in on the Pioneer Interface 2. @@TheTubejunky Not at all. I didn't say you use the interface to record the mix at all. I am say how I record a mix when DJing with the interface. Two seperate things.

I would recommend it 100% It's pretty much indential to true vinyl mixing. The software doesn't mix for you, so you still need to work out the correct pitch on the decks, and mix just how you would with traditional vinyl.
Hi mate, do you use absolute or relative mode? Do you ever find the bps randomly change sometimes, say from 138 to like 144 just out of nowhere? Cheers
