IF YOU STILL NEED HELP CONNECTING THEM I FOUND A SOLUTION: first open your app then in the settings turn on shake shake your phone 3-4 times (you should feel a vibration) turn your Bluetooth off and then on again finally just randomly change the colors and your lights should hopefully connect repeat steps if necessary this worked for me I was trying different random ways to reconnect my lights to the app.

if u plug its usb port directly to a charger (iphone, sumsung does not matter) it won't work. it needs the power supply unit that steps down the voltage to 12V for the lights. most chargers give 5v so its not enough for the lights to work. try this
Usually after closing the app from app list, it goes to "on" even if its off, and then goes through some issues. Fix is to switch it off, click on the pair button he showed in video to unapair and pair again and then turn on.. seems to work for me now
Just got mine really nice at first I ran wires wrong had to rip all out and do right way really nice all black cadilac so I use red but all colors go good with black so 😊
