Last week, I stopped drinking coffee in order to have some quality of sleep. oh boy, I experienced terrible withdrawal symptoms like headache, muscle pains, joint pains. I had no choice but to take pain meds for 2 days. It has been a week. a little better but not quite. Today drank coffee. To be honest, I feel much better and being myself again.
Thank you so much for your lectures like literally my teacher she only gave us a textbook and summarize PowerPoint, but nothing to really learn off of, and these videos are helping me so much
ma'am, i was wondering if you have any videos explaining addiction? i love your videos btw, they are really helpful as I'm new to the subject. thank you so much! much love from India❤
Thank you! Yes, I have several videos on addiction - take a look at the Biopsychology (Psychopharmacology), PSYC 4950 (Drug Use and Addiction - two videos, one about Treatment and the other Prevention), and Human Neuropsychology (Addiction, Chapter 6).
Yes! If you look at my playlist for Introduction to Psychology, then entire Chapter 11 is available. There may be some overlap with this video, but the whole chapter should be covered in several smaller chunks.
I don't know if you will see this or not but thank you so much for uploading the whole chapters on here, RU-vid. You saved me and I like the way you teach as well! Sending thanks to you all the way from Malaysia :)
@@KalebeGamerBomberFriends yes, they update it every year so it will be a more recent year than 2021 (the name of the app I used in the video was the 2021 version as that was the newest version at the time)
You absolutely could - this was just a tutorial for a specific assignment for my students where I wanted the title slide to be like an APA title page (same information).
Thank you for your lectures! Currently I’m taken this course at local college and instructor doesn’t teach the content. Just goes over sample questions during class. You are phenomenal!
Thank you! Yes, unfortunately I was masked due to COVID/pandemic restrictions/requirements at the institution at the time, which muffled my voice greatly. I hope the subtitles are accurate enough to help with the muffled voice.
@@AlexReynoldsPhD I'm doing my introduction to psychology course right now and watch your videos. It helps me a lot ! It's similar to the curriculum of the course I'm taking! I feel fortunate I found your channel. I'm sure lots of students outside the US find your classes of great help! Thanks a lot! 🙏
I’m not sure I understand what you’re asking? Quizlet is a good website you can use to create a quiz or flashcards to help you test yourself on the material.
I am from the Sultanate of Oman from Sultan Qaboos University and we have this subject called Introduction to Psychology, but unfortunately I do not have any questions to train myself on. Can you share the questions that you give your students with me? I would be very grateful to you.
Because I searched a lot and a lot and did not find anything, and by the way, I need your help in order to excel in my studies and obtain a high rate of transfer from one specialty to another.@
@@nooralshukaili7903 unfortunately, I do not share course materials with students outside of those enrolled in my class. I encourage you to seek out sites that help students - for example, Quizlet has sample flash cards that other students have created that you can use.
If you look at the bottom of the screen, it tells you what text - it’s Aronson’s Social Psychology textbook. The edition and publisher info is in the footer of the slides. I was using an older edition, but there have been newer ones published since then.
Is the order of the playlist the order I should watch these Psychology lecture videos in ? Just wondering bc the videos seem to have been uploaded in a different order than the playlist is in
Yes, great question! The playlist should play them in content order, not upload order. Over several years, I’ve made videos in pieces to build an entire course.
Quite a few respected scientists would disagree with this assessment. I highly recommend reading Blackmore's Consciousness text (with a very open mind!). There's still so much we don't know about consciousness, the mind, and the integration of the subjective experience.
This was just a really brief overview to supplement what students were reading in the text. I’d suggest to start with the publisher website for more info (stanfordbinettest.com)
