After watching your EXCELLENT video (2X4 workbench) I liked it so much, but, wanted a shorter version. I looked up Sketchup only to find Google had sold it and the new owner is no longer offering a free version. Do you have any other software suggestions?
Great tutorial except you could have been much faster to use an internal array for the table top instead of laying out and measuring all of those 2x4's.
I've had the chance to use this table a couple of times now. It's fun to whip out in front of people:) I can see what people are talking about when they say the legs are delicate, but they're design to support a "mostly" vertical load, not be torqued from the side or pushed back into place. If you just let the table open or close on it's own and don't force anything, it works great ru-vid.comUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh Once it's set up, it's pretty solid. My only gripe would probably be related to the clamps provided. They're not the highest quality. They do the job, so no big deal, but they could be better. All in all, pretty cool gadget.
hello, the better machine will be fluxcore 125 from harbor freight, this is a much better welder than the black one you showed, for about 170dlls gives you a lot better ranges for welding
MIG is Metal Inert Gas and considered a separate process than Flux Core. Both machines function the same but require different techniques (drag/push) and Flux Core leaves slag so you'll need a chipping hammer and it'll be a bit messier more like Stick.
I know this video is older but where exactly are you typing the numbers like the measurements so the program makes it in scale for you? I don’t see where your typed it, example when you typed the 72 inches for the length of the table I might have missed it everytime but that confuses me
Three years later and this video is still a great resource. Please get back on this channel, Mike! We'd love to see more educational content from you, especially in this style where we can learn along with you :)
Love the video and actually made the sketch up right along with you. For the most part I followed your directions. Now I need to learn how to do a parts list.
This was a great video Mike. I’ve been doing all my plans on paper, drafting style, for years. Thanks to you I’m going to transition to Sketchup. Thanks a bunch
Dang guys, two thumbs up. You answered all the questions I had about getting into welding plus a whole lot more. I’m going to sit down next weekend and play through the whole thing again, taking meticulous notes. Thanks for a great intro to welding
ty for these videos. i tried to figure out sketchup on my own and was totally lost but your video on your other channel helped me out in a way none of the tutorials did.
Thanks for the video. Could you make separate video about the finishes, where you compare how they end up looking. Also for what kind of usage the are best for, outside, rain, snow etc?
Great video. Very helpful video for beginners. Thank you so much 4 everything. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend make on. Weld on.
