You made the proper move allowing more low end in your design….i will mostly be using this on the mixbus….if i was missing that much high end and low end….i wouldn’t be…..and as i was writing this….you said the same thing…sorry but….i definitely agree….can i just tell you that this plug in has made me enjoy my music more!
Awesome! Also.. Is this the place for feature requests? 🫣 I notice that when using 'Link L+R' in the unlinked M/S mode, both channels turn to the same setting. However, in that use case I'll often want a different threshold, but be able to turn both input gains or thresholds at the same time - just not to the same exact setting. If that makes sense. Would it be possible to select two knobs at once, or maybe just add an overall clean input gain control? (Or am I just missing something completely obvious, which is often the case 😬)
I mean... I like this host - he's extremely knowledgable and eloquent, but am I the only one who noticed that the other compressors were constantly doing between 7-12 db of gain reduction vs the UTA doing 3-5? Of course the sound is going to feel like it's being "pulled away" from the listener when directly comparing compression differences of that amount. This just was not a very accurate comparison between some excellent plugins.
Purchased!! Thanks for your great video on how you built the plugin!

Man, this is a great sounding plugin. Love it. I think you should make a proper tape emulation plugin and (and not or) a summing mixer of sorts. Thanks for everything Eric!
You’re a gentleman and a scholar sir congratulations on such a dope creation 🎉 really class move re refunding the early purchase folks also . All the best to ya Eric
Thanks so much Eric - Been trying out the plugin and it's amazing. One suggestion to improve ease of workflow a clean input gain knob (alongside the plugin output) to boost the level coming into the plugin, so that hard compression can be reached on quiet sources would be really amazing. I had thrown it on my mix bus, and had to add another gain boosting plugin prior, to get the level loud enough for the compression I wanted, with the threshold and input gain knobs maxed out. I know this is a 'me' problem, and could clip gain up tracks or raise the level of tracks going into the mix bus, but adding a clean input gain knob could improve simplicity and ease of workflow. Thanks heaps!!!
Hey there, any chance if you're mid-demo you can get a restart with the new version? I want to spend more time re-evaluating it now that you can raise the level of m/s makeup gain-whole new beast for me now
I was saving up to buy it for the $200. My initial thoughts were time to show support for all the great content you’ve shared all these years. Is there a place to donate the other $100 to show thanks?
It's really great to see you listen to feedback, cpu consumption is still bananas on apple silicon, indeed the loading time went from 10 sec to 4 sec as you noted in the video. I'm sure further optimization is on the pipeline. Thank You.
I thought the plugin sounded better on the mix, maybe a bit smaller in physical integrity, but the hardware sounded more chaotic and muddy(bigger lowmid), more random and organic. Plugins often sound more confined and less random
It's not often you come across this level of service and communication with customers. This dude is top notch. The plugin is top notch too and I purchased it at the initial introductory price which I was OK with. Great that Eric appreciates the loyalty in offering the refund. I think he'll find that his honesty and integrity will be rewarded ten times over when he sees the surge in sales of this product.
This update goes hand in hand with pretty much everything Eric has done up to this point; showing people how to mix on pro level for free. I am grateful, but not surprised. Thank you
