I am wondering if it was a budget issue or something but CWL has so much money behind it... they could have spent it on an intemin ride like pantheon or velocicoaster... but they chose premier rides... unless something about intemin discouraged them? I dunno.. its strange to me ... shoulda coulda woulda
Yeah it's only supposed to have 2 trains, but it's apparently a quick ride and there is no lift hill. Also there won't be seatbelts, so they should be able to get the 2 trains running frequently. I'm excited for it, the only thing I don't like is this thing will make the iconic mountain look weird and having this thing whiz by half the park. The mountain is basically hollow at this point. lol.
My husband and I just went to the park this past weekend and previously we went 3 years ago. The first time we went, we made the mistake of finishing our day with flight deck and time warp. We felt so awful that we were done, so I would not rank those rides higher than thunder run or even wild guardians (no technical errors for us, it was fine). As far as kids rides go, sure they aren’t thrilling, but I look forward to taking my child someday and hoping that he gets the same kind of enjoyment that I do (maybe with less nausea 🥴). This time around, I absolutely HATED Minebuster, would never ride it again. Instant headache, and it rattled so hard that my cheek hit my husband’s shoulder and left a red mark. Wildebeast was better, not as rough. I agree with the top 4, though I think I like Leviathan just a bit more than Behemoth. Thanks for the ranking!
Coincidental The Bat uses the 3rd Train that Dragon Fyre never used and the coaster was built during the Vekoma & Arrow Development Deal where Vekoma would built the ride if they could use Arrow’s Trains. What an interesting way to reuse something that already exists for another ride as well as doing it legally, great call on Canada’s Wonderland’s part. Another interesting Fact: The Bat was 1 of 3 roller coasters in a row to open, starting with Skyrider in 1985, relocating Thunder Run in 1986, and of course… The Bat in 1987. SO MUCH literally going on with this ride that I could go on and on but this video already covers it and this comment is becoming too long. Great video BTW!
Just my childhood 😢 Went to Palace Playland every summer from the early 2000s up until now! You come for the beach and hang out at night by the amusement park.
With TGGs precut track you can likely reprofile this entire ride with modern forces and an actual first drop at a relatively economical price. It needs to be all new track and trains though....not piecemeal upgrades with new trains running on old track, that fails every time. I wonder if it would be a worthy investment 🤔
I worked on the 19th floor 3rd building over. For the New York State Dept. Of Recreation. It was a fun job. I traveled over the whole state to the state parks inspecting concession stands for health code violations. That was about 35 years ago! 😊. I remember walking through the Concourse and walking through the egg. Brings back good memories thank you for sharing
I’ve lived in Syracuse all my life. This man asks why are there no people in downtown Syracuse. Well since it was just after 8 pm many go home cause all the businesses are closed. And most of the stores aren’t there any more all because of Destiny Mall. ( shopping center).
We sadly had to stop going to Atlantic City back in the mid 2000's. I keep watching for it to make a comeback. Still too much crime for me, but I am rooting for AC. It used to be great!
You might not be old enough to remember, but the hands-down best haunted house in the Niagara region was the haunted house at Wet N' Wild water park in Prudhommes Landing. It doesn't exist anymore and sort of went down in infamy (it's a long story, but I'm sure you can find it somewhere online), but it was awesome. House Of Frankenstein is a joke (not so much toe-curling fritght, it's just toes-up).

Excellent video. I think the Plaza is underrated, as is Albany more broadly. I went to college in Albany in the late '70s-early'80s and was always fascinated by the architecture there.
It's changed so much! Used to live in St. Louis and would go every summer as a kid and always loved Fright Fest! I haven't been in almost 10 years now and now have 3 boys in love with trains and trills so I'll def have to pay a visit soon! Great video.
Such a well thought out and in-depth history lesson of Canada's greatest Theme Park, 👏👏👏 I'd add perhaps one of North America's best as well... Wonderland was a huge part of nearly every summer for myself and friends growing up. The fact we lived in North Bay which was only about 2-3 hrs north, played the biggest role for our accessibility to a theme park of that magnitude. * SOOO happy the original site was rejected East of Toronto and especially the Niagara region.... lol, don't think I would've made it down there half as often had Wonderland been built down there. Being so close to the Park made waking up early and driving down for a day of thrills and excitement, then driving home that same night quite doable for young enthusiasts. Definitely got lucky with the location. Sadly I haven't been to CWL for some years now, but my kids certainly have enjoyed the Park many times in the past few years. Great job on the video friend!! Time Warp and Flight Deck both really need to be torn down, awful coasters and since they are fairly close to one another, tear down two and add a sick new coaster or decent flat rides. Good god.
Front desk worker of a hotel here. Advice for anyone reading this. I recommend generally staying away from third party booking sites. Expedia isn't the worst but it can be problematic at times. Some 3rd parties are an outright scam so I recommend doing your research before booking anything through a 3rd party. Heck even call the hotel and see if they have issues with certain 3rd parties and I'm sure they'd be glad to help. Hopefully this helps 😁
