That Miami « Superteam » was only favorite in the 2011 and 2013 Finals, so saying the deck was totally stacked in his favor is revisionist history, in 2012 almost every states in USA tought the Thunders would win lol, and in 2014 Wade was washed, and Bosh on the decline … I don’t think we can call that a superteam, especially when you add context, Wade was a poor fit with Lebron, he was basically a 6’4 Lebron with worse shooting, that’s why they had to move Bosh at the 5 and Bron at the 4 for better spacing .. That team was nowear near as talented and cohesive as the Celtics or even the Wolves, Knicks, OKC, Clippers or Pelicans .. You give a 22 Lebron a 4x DPOY Gobert in his prime (Like Ben Wallace), an ALL STAR PF KAT (Like Rasheed Wallace), an ALL DEFENSIVE 2nd team player McDaniels (Like Tayshaun Prince), and a great 2 ways pg Mike Conley (Chauncey Billups) and he win 2-3 Titles ..
Kevin Garnett’s money in 1998 is valued at over 366 million dollars in 2023 due to inflation. 366 MILLION, for the time that was absolutely insane, you gotta consider all the variables
100% facts. Lebrons line and KDs line have also gotten lazy asf. Cant remember last time they dropped a "must cop" Right now i really like the design of the Jayson Tatum 2s but the colorways have all been garbage
I think it’s a cool idea because you get to see the video of the win But I think they had so much success and I just bought some with credit card which is nice because you don’t have to use crypto to try to buy
Harris was a consistent 20 ppg scorer for a good while with decent defense. In this age of overpaid nba players, he ain't one of them. if anything he's underrated not getting that recognition.
Man when gsw extended Steph curry for 45 mill was a crazyyyy steal. Ik he had ankle injuries a lot but man because he sign that and draymond took less was a big reason how Durant was able to be signed... draymond made more than Steph at that time
He’s didn’t finesse lol he was destined to have a long nba career becuz he can do everything on the court while giving u 16 to 17ppg for his career two players who’s all around are keepers
Your breakdown of Klay's contract is not wrong, but it's also not something that the Warriors organization is particularly regretting. They knew full well he probably wouldn't be back to producing at the level his contract implied, but it was a contract offered by a friendly GM to a team legend. It was definitely a check cut for services rendered and not for future expectations. They might even have started dreaming of the two timelines plan then, thinking that even if Klay fell off as hard as D Rose, that huge contract would handicap the roster to help them tank and build depth through the draft, probably in the 10th-22nd pick range. Whether you love or hate the franchise, I really liked that they showed respect to a guy who had already helped them win 3 championships, instead of being opportunistic and signing him to a cheaper deal when his stock had hit rock bottom. It's part of why the 2022 team was so easy to root for. That's the kind of employer we all want to have.
Agreed. It was definitely a legacy-rewarded contract that they knew they were overpaying for after he tore his acl. However, I don’t think GSW anticipated him to fall off as drastically as he has. I think that is attributed more to the Achilles injury he suffered after he signed the deal, which is just horrible luck
@cahillscourt what actually caused the Achilles injury was preventable. Klay didn't rehab properly for his ACL injury. He didn't listen to the medical and physical therapy instructions. The other leg got weak and that's why he tore his Achilles. And his greedy daddy wants another big contract
tobias harris is the #1 worst basketball player in nba with one of the best frames in the league. if teams have any scouts whatsoever they should know not to pay this guy anything above a vet minimum.
right place, right time. some people become free agents when their market is biggest and are able to continue to cash in. harrison barnes is another example of this. if there are no marquis free agents available it becomes a bidding war for a players' services. sometimes teams overpay because they have no choice. they have a need and have the salary that they must spend anyways.
@@caladanrude6395 no he was supposed to get a big contract last year cuz his rookie deal was up but they asked him to hold out one more year to try n get a star which they didn’t go look it up
This video is about the 26 biggest contracts in NBA history. Brunson's contract is not even close to the 26 biggest ever, so naturally it won't be in the video.
Man this video really reminded me that Harris is the most over payed average nba player ever. I had literally no idea or memory of him being on that Magic team😂😂I remember all those other good young players but not him. Since I’m a Celtics fan, I also love that he got Philli of all teams to pay him lol
Hope they dont finish the job cause im a Celtics fan, but it’s already one of the most remarkable tank jobs ever considering they punted on making the playoffs last year and got rewarded with lively who changed their team
