I have an SL-1200 MK7. The thing isn't even 3 years old yet. The target light flickers when in the down position. Why would it flicker? I thought it was off in the down position? It flickers when no one is near the thing or it's not engaged in doing anything.
I think I can live with the clip in lamp I’ve been using for 5 years. It’s as though when Technics designed the deck, they started with this bulb and built the rest of the deck around it!
This ia absolute not the good way to do !!! Orange and brown are ac current.... tou have to make it dc current with a lm7912 and a 470 to 820 ohm resistor....dipent on the dim you want.
I have watched a dozen or so vids on replacing lamps with leds on the turret some put a voltage regulator inline before the plug on the board? Is this important? Others like yourself don’t?
Thanks for making & posting your video. It gave me the insight on how to do disassemble the turntable and then I was able to give the 'pop up light' unit to someone more qualified to do the replacement/upgrade. Helped me save me a bit of money on getting this repair done, as it then saved me having to pay them for their time & labour for that part of the process. I like how the video was sped up and was very easy to follow.
@@roelloeffen Its these from Amazon www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B071D7XM7K/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The specs are : 3mm Current: 20mA; Voltage: 2-3V; Luminous Intensity:30-1000MCD. I've just done the strobe light using 4 x 5mm LEDs and used 470ohm resistor and works fine so now im confident to do the Target Light :) Thanks for your quick reply.
@@kevtucker is the rest of the deck still functional? I did break my power supply the first time. You can check the polarity of the LED? Do you have a voltage over the LED, if you measure it?
DJBIGL there is a few more tutorials. It’s not that hard. Watch other ones where He’ll explain everything. You’ll be happy you did it your self. Trust me. If I did it. You can do it.
Hi there. Nice vid. Just wondering does it matter in which line you connect the resistor coming from the LED. To the - or + ?? I've seen guys attaching it to the positive. Thanks
