Maybe if the BBC didn't move to MediaCity UK, ITV wouldn't either. Also even after the big studio shut down, I got to see the Granada Studios Tour entrance back in 2018 or so!
Beautiful studios but the video is almost unwatchable due to the too-fast camera action. Can we see another one where there's time to enjoy each of the different areas of the studiio?
Hi Andy. Thanks for your video. Ive been using OtsAV (for my radio station) since 2005 and I love it. I down loaded the TV demo for a 30 day free trial, but I can't see how to output the MP4s to my OSB, which I record and stream live from . Hope you can help. Cheers, Grant
I would never ever sign up with Virgin Media again... awful awful awful company absolutely brutal customer service and "accessibility" is a total afterthought which by the way, under the Equality act of 2010 is 100% ILLEGAL! I switched back to Sky for everything and I am so glad I did.
Goodness it all looks very ramshackle, and skinflint with people forced to undertake several different roles. But, somehow - everything made it to wear. Happy days!😂
The female presenter behind the Century's religious show in Nottingham was a lot more dignified & smarter than John Myers which, no doubt, the latter was the reason why he sacked her. Sure her show may have not been popular but he should've known that such programming would not attract a lot of advertisers, let alone listeners on a Sunday morning. I was mesmerised at his statement that he wasn't there to be popular yet couldn't wait to break the news about how well the Manchester station had done before joining in doing a conga round the office. You can't help but think that, if that Century station had been a failure, he'd have sacked all those who were cheering at the good news. I appreciate some people thought he was a good presenter but, frankly speaking, he was a bloody lousy boss who was probably a right arrogant bastard to work for & I know from the Newcastle Century station alone some of the presenters he sacked there could give a very different story to his persona. Yes he wanted his stations to make a profit, any boss would, but he clearly let it get the better of him. It could be argued that the sorry state UK commercial radio is in today was influenced by his "all for money & sod the quality" approach to running those stations
You clearly just have a personal axe to grind, he probably canned you or someone you know. He was one of the best in the business to any rational unbiased person.
I read his book a few years ago and it is one of the most boring I have ever wasted my time on. I used to listen to a lot of radio in the eighties and nineties and grew up listening to Red Rose Radio and Rock FM when the switch occurred in 1990. He comes across very badly in this programme and I fail to understand why he was lauded by many, based on what I read in his book and have seen here. There are a lot of great radio voices but his was definitely not one of them. I have never been impressed by Scotty McClue. Alan Beswick was the best phone in host by a long way unless there are others I am not aware of.
I'm an American. I have absolutely no idea what they are saying.. Go watch the American 3 C-SPAN prank calls. It is the funniest probably an hour and 15 minutes worldwide news being Pranked, and it is so enjoyable to listen to and to watch!! Mini RU-vidrs now do a challenge called try not to laugh, and every RU-vidr has failed! 😂😂😂
This was around the time we first got sky and boy it was a game changer ! Exciting times. Having films on all the time and a 24 news channel was fantastic. When sky news was good!
I rent an office in Swindon in a building that was, back in the 1970s, called Relay House which was the home of Radio Rentals cable TV service, known colloquially as "The Pipe"..... Long before there was such a thing as Channel 4 News. Swindon Cable was it's "second incarnation" - originally there were no STBs and pay-for-view channels.
