Hey everyone, my name is Zachary Kenney. I'm a full time engineer aspiring to be an adventure filmmaker/photographer. Like a lot of you, I took a corporate job after I graduated college, 8 to 5, and far from the mountains. Shortly after I got the job, I discovered mountains, and the rest.. well that's history. I found myself driving hours and hours every weekend to spend more and more time climbing, biking, making films, and shooting photos in the mountains. My obsession for creating videos started back in college on my old GoPro Hero2. It was then, I realized, that I had a passion for telling a story through videos to inspire people to get out and live a life to the fullest. Most of my videos now feature adventures during my traveling and outdoor activities.
I currently live in the epic state of Utah! Hope you enjoy the adventures!
I don't disagree, but I think a lot of people that end up watching this video are trying to solve an immediate problem so they can get back to riding their bike. Most people would rather not wait the few days for the amazon package to arrive. And I think this hack gets people riding faster, or at least that's what I hope. Cheers.
Pros and cons to every setup. They fixed the ventilation I believe. Radica makes a cool camping topper for mid size trucks and you can stand on the roof too. Tough call picking 1 as a clear best choice.
Pfeifferhorn is a beautiful hike, but it is definitely a workout. I'm somewhat acrophobic, so the scramble up the spine with drops on each side was a bit freaky.
0:57 I've been trying for over an hour to remove these with specialized, low leverage pliers and it didn't work - using regular pliers with that technique easily removed these... Thank you
Awesome video! I haven't been diving in over 30 years, but am planning to get re-certified before we head out on a 7-day Tahiti cruise in April 2025. Moorea looks magical. What kind of camera did you use? Do you need extra lighting to capture the footage you got? It was fabulous. Thanks!
Thank you for the kind words! Your trip sounds like it’s going to be incredible! I just used a GoPro Hero 8. And yes, I use a dive light to bring back the colors at depth.
Everyone’s saying use an old length of wire, which I don’t have. If you’re barely a hobbyist or not at all, why would you have extra wire laying around? How often do people have extra shoelaces? I just wanted the one that shows me how to do this with pliers. Your video should be at the top of the list. Thank you!
I’ve seen just about every raft and style go down the daily. Depending on the flows, I’m pretty sure every rapid section can be paddled around. I can’t recommend to go or not, that’s up to you and your capabilities.
Awesome video! Just got my GFC and am so stoked. Probably gonna upgrade to the the new Pro tent cause it has those top ventilation vents you were desiring… thank goodness the tents can be swapped!
If they all look like the same type of link, there is a chance your chain does not have a power link to remove the chain. You’ll have to get a chain tool to remove a link. Those tools will push out one of the pins from a link. Sorry, I don’t have a hack for that just yet.
We hiked the west side last weekend too for the first time. Amazing views of the southern Presidentials, then when you get high enough the northern Presidentials are visible. Amazing. Then you see the old familiar Wildcat on the east side down below you, that I’m used to seeing from the Tuckerman Ravine trail. I love Mount Washington.
This looks fantastic. I'm finishing my OW cert this weekend. I'm hoping to be able to do a liveboard in a few years. What do you think the average experience level was?
It was such a blast! The average level was all over the place. Half the group had 100+ dives, while the other half was finishing their OW. So it was accommodating to everyone.
I agree if you’re looking at it from that way. But if you are in need of a truck shell, that’s a huge part of it. For us it worked, we were camping 30-50 nights outside a year, so this made things so much easier. Definitely a waste if you’re only heading out a few nights a year.
Heck yeah man! Great accomplishment with the weather turning as well. I'll be there this year, see you out there if you found the motivation (read: insanity) to go for this again!
Sadly no. A lot of kids bikes and bikes from Walmart do not. You’ll need to get a chain link removal tool to do the job you’re looking for. Then add a new power link after you shorten it. It’s a simple tool, a lot of multi-bike-tools have them. But I haven’t found a solution to do that without that tool. Best of luck
