Man, I love this script but I am feeling so dumb right now. Last time I played, I knew exactly how to make the displays work as I want, but somehow this time round I can't wrap my head around the guide. It's just not making sense, and I can't figure out how to set up a display showing inventory of just ores and ingots. Bet when I figure it out finally, I'm gonna feel even stupider
I’ve only played for 1/6 of that time, but I empathize - I’ve always felt dumb looking at the programmable block, and I wanted to do everything by hand, so I avoided it like the plague. I’m excited to learn though! Good luck on your new adventure 😎🚀
I've been playing vanilla Space Engineers for a few months now. After getting the basics down I've gone onto the workshop to add to the game experience. This is a MUST HAVE script that I look forward to programming in my world. Thank you very much for making this item.
This was the first ever mention and recording of stereolith in the game. At the time of the recording of this video 7 years ago they were only in easy worlds because those were the only scenario worlds and there were no campaigns. Nobody in 7 years figured out what this stereolith means, what the characters mean. While the meaning of monolith is known nothing is known about this one. But I guess its important to point out that 7 years later the stereolith is also probably in any world and this video is wrong. Thank you for pointing that out.
Nice Video. I tried using glass elevator and made a small shaft around it to act as more reaslistic looking elevator, however my toon would seem to either not be able to get on top of the glass or sunk 1/2 way into it as it went up not allowing me to get off so i would have to use my jet pack. Is this a bug?
Very very very nice. Would you be able to show how you managed to set GPS markers when entering the public text? There is No documentation online for it :(
Please consider doing a whole new video on this. After seeing this script on a friend's base I decided to try and add it to my new gameplay. I am trying to get it running on my base BUT due to the audio sync issue and the text comments not being clear all I can get on my LCDs for the base is "Booting up". The Programable block and timer block go in a cycle of turning off when you turn on the other. Thanks so much again for the work and the efforts.
What's throwing me off, is that the menu in SE 2022 looks nothing like this, did they change it or something? All I have under "Programable Block" is Custom Data and Content. If I choose script under content it shows me a list of pre-defined ones. I can't add to it.
My question was how to show a single item in my containers (since i built an ice mining station and just want to see how much ice I have) but I was having trouble. Answer was at 18:05. "InvListX {G:Containers} +ice" I had to add the group for some reason. I couldn't just look up +ice. TMYK!
It is unwatchable, the audio is shifted .. so et the end, you are showing how to code how to show content of the CARGO 1 but in the audio you are commenting how to code the whole Group the audio commentary is shifted in the future. So it is unwatchable and hard to learn the stuff that are shown now but told a few minutes/seconds in the past.
