Ich könnte mir vorstellen dass Franz Hohler sich auch durch eine Sendung (mit viele Folgen) des damaligen "Beromünster"-Radio inspiriert hatte (wohl ca. Mitte 1960-Jahre?) .... da las nämlich ein {gebildeter} Berner Originaltexte von Berner-Schriftsteller des 19./20. Jahrhunderts (=> Simon Gfeller etc.... ) vor. Der Tonfall von F. Hohler ahmt z.Teil diese Art etwas nach.
Too many people say that the pizzicatos on 6:10 and the later ones are super hard… but the real hard part is the 4:38… it’s the only part when he actually opens his eyes and thinks it through a little to do it correctly, the other ones come on muscle memory but… that thing that is similar to a Bach fugue whit PIZZICATO AND HARMONICS is the real difficulty of this piece…
curious, how come at 1:02 he doesn't do that one note with the thumb? i've seen valentina lisista not do it as well, is there a different version of this etude?

Doch,doch zum Grossteil sind die Wörter erfunden, aber nicht im Sinne von Frei zusammen gewürfelten Buchstaben. Es ist im Grunde bei jedem Wort ein Sinn zugrunde, dem Berndeutschen angelehnt und mit genug 'echten' Wörtern gespickt, dass die meisten Deutschschweizer die Zusammenhänge erkennen und sich den Rest zusammenreimen. Soweit ich weiss, ist das auch der Sinn des Ganzen: Wie viel versteht man, obwohl es quasi nur 'Blödsinn' ist.
This is the most beautiful intonation I’ve ever heard… something the piano can’t achieve. Every note is perfectly in tune RELATIVE to every chord he’s playing at the time, rather than the general key of the piece. It’s almost like he’s found the impossible balance between equal and just temperaments… incredible
