It is all this global warming bs of keeping traffic flowing and reduce emissions. I say getting there in one piece is more important than reducing emissions
In Australia, the equivalent is just the arrow blacking out on green even when there is a suitable arrow. Sometimes there is a 3 second delay between red and black probably as to stop people kneejerk turning in front of heavy oncoming traffic. Sometimes in low density areas at a pedestrian crossing, a yellow forward signal flashes after green when the red person flashes, to signify that the car must give way if someone is (finishing) crossing. Also sometimes there is just one green arrow of four lights on a panel, which usually means go forward or turn on practically every green as the oncoming cars aren't to go until red.
Probably also to be very clear about it being red. Why traffic lights in the US are horizontal with 8% of men and 0.5% of women having red/green blindness is beyond me. I hope they are consistent with red being on the left and everyone knows that.
How long should you water trees each time? We recently bought and live in the country in Central TX, and do not have sod. On the property are groves of Live Oak, and I've noticed two of the larger trees (East most facing trees) that have an intertwined root system (trees are 20-30 feet tall, these two are maybe a yard apart). On one tree all the leaves browned back in late April. On the other, all leaves but one tall branch on the East side of the tree have browned. All the other trees in this grove (approx. 30) have the majority of green leaves. We are currently in an extended drought.
They aren't going to ruin the calm nature aspect of it by adding a bunch of "entertainment" type stuff, are they? We have enough of that all over the city. These tranquil green spaces are now at a premium and should be preserved and cherished for generations to come.
Whoa! I thought I was the only one with a Go APE course! Seems "piano" and "plano" are pretty close. LOL howtotunepianos.com/go-ape-intro-video-and-pre-order-optin/
As a member of Plano Citizens Academy Class #5 of 2006, I can promise this is a most worthwhile experience. Congratulations to all the classes who have and will come after.
I lived in Plano, many years ago, (80s) in the trailer park on the service rd of 75, between Parker & Spring Creek. I worked at Parker Station Cafe & Plano Steak House. I Moved to the country. But, both of my girls, are living in Plano, around the Spring Creek/ Rainier area. They live within 2 miles of each other. They love raising their kids there. I was in Plano for Thanksgiving. For me, its nice to visit, but...i need my country. Plano is a nice, safe city, if you like the city, I just got tired of the traffic & moved to a little town with only about 1000 ppl. Great, informative video. I'd recommend Plano to anyone, wanting to live in the city.
my house is "valued" at $210000 yet the inside is still 1983. No way I can sell it for that much. Last year I took pictures to show that "committee" and asked them if they would pay that much for my house. The "chairman" said "we are here to discuss that" THAT IS EXACTLY WHY WE ARE HERE! Typical tax rip off.
I'm a recent transplant from Houston and I have to say I am very impressed with the Hike & Bike trails here in Plano and surrounding areas. Keep it up Plano!
Thanks for this vid! I wish you had shown more regular riders and not focused so much on road racers in lycra on road bikes. The trails can be used by folks on regular bikes too.
