The AKG doesn't sound better than the Neumann and vice versa. It's your opinion that's screwing with your and everbody else's brain. Just use what you like! I mean... is Pink Floyd better than Metallica or vice versa???? Well... I LIKE THEM BOTH and at a certain day, I'll listen to PF and when I feel energized, I listen to Metallica or whatever! There IS no "better" than the other! It's a matter of taste and of opinion! Now... try to convince me to buy a Justin Bieber album because it's sooo much better than the Jethro Tull album I was about to get! LOL
They’re both amazing mics and are used by millions of people globally, personally I’m a fan of both and recorded on both many many times with outstanding results each time.
I have a BULS, XLII and XLS and the XLII can accentuate sibilance quite a bit. You can hear it hear in this video. But while the 103 sounded less sibilant, I didn't like how her sibilance sounded on it. It sounded weird to me. Overall she sounded best, to my ears, on the XLII, singing and spoken word. Afterall, CK12 style mics (C12, 251, 414s) are historically known as great mics for female voices. But they're also excellent for male voices because they have fantastic bass response. The only ones I can't comment on are the 412 and 414 "Comb". I don't know what those sound like.
I'll be honest I recently grabbed the AKG, and I am trying my best to fall in love with it, but I just can't. For me personally, the sound that I get on vocals from my 103 is just unmatched. I've been using it for the last 3 years and I just get the cleanest vocals. I will most likely return the AKG
@@FutureShockStudios I know they are very similar in specs-being multipolar pattern, but which one is better sounding? I presume se4400…but I would like to see your opinion.
What I’ve noticed about the lm 102-103 vs most other mics is they have resonance stability which the specs can’t tell you, controlled yet detailed without instability in resonance, still smooth and detailed is hard to achieve, great attack and decay speed, flat response, 102 vs 103 I pick the 103 the 102 with the dip in the upper range just sounds like it’s missing something like a pause
Thanks for the review. My use is for a prosumer content xreation using a Sansung S24 Ultra. After watching lots of reviews, I'm leaning toward the Kimura plugged into an Ankerwork m650 wireless mic system, which adds mobility, ANC abd muting. Although the Kimura Duo iems get good revuews, I might go for OH10s. whattayathink?
Really impressed with how cool these are. Durability is great too, I e dropped the transmitters on the concrete several times and they don't show a single scratch, it probably helps that they are super light.
Thanks for the review! I want to invest in my first IEM system - should I spend money on a mono-only system like the ptm 33 with 4 receivers right out the gate (and then upgrade to a stereo system later), or should I start and keep a stereo system like the PTM 10 and then get 4 belt pack receivers with that? Thanks!
Hi! I am interested in buying this system to hear myself singing while playing live. Do I just plug the transmitter into a wall outlet and then I'm good to go? Or do I need to buy something else? For example in order to use the xvive system you need to plug the transmitter into a mixer, so I'm asking if this system is all i need to get it working or if I need anything else? thank u!
For these types of systems you’ll always need to get audio from a source. Be that an output from a Guitar unit or a mixer. The majority of people who buy this will be taking an output from a mixer
Just ordered one to complement my sE8 stereo pair. Will be used on all kinds of solo instruments like piano, percussion, tenor saxophone and vocals. Chose this because of said versatility...
I have this same mic and it worked great with my iphone13 the first time I used it. However, as I try to record video now, the camera glitches and doesn’t record at all when the receiver is plugged in. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?
Hey thanks for the comment, as you’re already probably aware, not all mics work on every voice and I take your comment on board, but as for the distortion each take is checked thoroughly recorded between -18 -12dB, and I’d cringe if I’d heard any distortion on any of my takes.
