Self-taught hobby musician who plays exclusively for fun, relaxation and the love of music. The purpose of my videos is to give inspiration and ideas for playing music (at home) with an arranger keyboard. In my case with the Korg PA5X, but perhaps also interesting for players of other brands or types. In the description of most videos I've explained which style, sounds etcetera are used in the performance, including some tips and tricks. The music videos I make don't have great sound quality because they're recorded in one go with a mobile phone. I hope you don't mind because it's about the content, to give ideas and inspiration to you, fellow musicians. I enjoy making music more than editing videos. :-)
You’re playing my favourite kind of music. Love Vangelis. I think I found the answer to my question here as a I can see you are reading the music. Excellent performance. KORG has great synth sounds.
This song played from sheet music is actually an exception. In most cases I play with just a chord sheet with the lyrics. When I see the chords, I know how to find the right keys for the right hand quickly and (try to) remember them. 😊
@@FransV2010I like the way you use the new Kaoss pad. It’s a brilliant addition to the KORG PA5X. Do you play by ear or read the dots? Always keen to hear and watch self taught players, like myself, to be able to play by memory and by ear knowing what the key should sound like before you hit it.
Hi James, I play by ear and memory in most cases, but with chord sheets. When I see the chords, I know how to find the right keys quickly and (try to) remember them. Kaoss is a nice feature indeed!
Dans les paramètres du Korg Pa5x on peux nous même a partir dun don le modifier, vous pouvez suivre Qui Robinez...il voys montré comment faire pas à pas...cest excellent
Hi Frans, love this song from Muse. I did it on PA60 14 years ago ;-) and it would be great to try it now with an updated keyboard like the Pa5X... I need to find my original style ;-) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9d4Gp63fzJQ.html
Thank you, Chris.😊 In most cases I use the chords (with lyrics) from Ultimate Guitar Tabs. I use those for the left hand. The right hand I play from memory. I play very little from sheet music because I'm not good at it and I also find it less fun / free playing.
@@Chris87videosThank you for your kind words. My videos are recorded with a cell phone, so audio quality isn't top notch. But that's not the point of my videos. They're just meant to give some ideas and inspiration. I like making music much more than editing videos. 😅
@@FransV2010 Ah Ah It was my target too many years ago without good camera and slow laptop (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bLgsUoxFw-0.html) 😂But I stopped recording and playing for a long time. I plan to play again now in 2025 with this Pa5X and your examples are perfect for me to restart and give me inspiration. Many thanks for that,
@@Chris87videosThanks again & good luck with your plans. I will check the link you sent me. The PA5X is an awesome arranger keyboard, the best I ever had. I can't do without SST anymore 😅
It's a fantastic song and very nice to play and make your own version of it. This one worked very well with the Kaoss feature. In fact, it was my first performance ever with Kaoss. 😊
As the owner of a Korg M3 synth, I'm curious if Kaoss effectively provides similar functionality to what Karma provided in previous Korg instruments like the M3 as well as the Kronos? I have found Karma to be a great tool for inspiring creativity. It's drawback (at least for me) is that it has a rather abstruse user interface and thus I basically rely upon the presets and don't attempt to creative a Karma combi from scratch. I'm assuming/guessing that this might be one area in which Kaoss has an advantage over Karma - namely easier to manipulate and control?
@@FransV2010 Thanks. I just followed your advice by submitting the same question in the KorgForum thread you started there (and which prompted me to check out your RU-vid submission!). Great performance BTW!
