This is the version of the Turtles I really grew up with! I was born in 94 so the 87 series a little before my time but I did watch a few eps my cousin had on vhs and I owned the 1990 movie so when this series came out, I was so glad it felt more like the movie!
Still watching and rewatching this show. This is the best show about turtles ever! None of those that were before it or those that after it is doing turtles any justice, but this one does. I love turtles, i love splinter and ESPECIALLY the Shredder. He is what he should have been. I really fear this version of Shredder. In this show, he is a guy who you don't want to mess with, unlike that pussy from the old show. Even despite the fact that Shredder is Utrom in this show, i still love him. He is the best, and the actor who voiced him, which is Scott Rayow i believe? He deserved a award for that role.
I wish the rest of the cast of Sam Riegel (Donatello), Greg Abbey (Raphael), Wayne Grayson (Michelangelo), Veronica Taylor (April O'Neil), Marc Thompson (Casey Jones), Scottie Ray (Shredder), Greg Carey (Hun) and Scott Williams (Baxter Stockman) had also been included, and I also wish the background of New York City (0:42) had been used for the opening sequence of the 2009 animated television film "Turtles Forever" of when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from the 2003 TV series meet their counterparts from the 1987 TV series and the 1984 comic book. And speaking of which, I wish the people who worked for 4Kids had reunited the original cast of Cam Clarke (Leonardo/Rocksteady), Barry Gordon (Donatello/Bebop), Rob Paulsen (Raphael), Townsend Coleman (Michelangelo), James Avery (Shredder), Pat Fraley (Krang), Peter Renaday (Hamato Yoshi/Splinter) and Renae Jacobs (April O'Neil) to voice as the main characters from the 1987 TV series again for Turtles Forever, that is if it wasn't due to financial restrictions and the people who worked for 4Kids weren't so stubborn of being a non-union company. Ever since I had first watched the 2003 TV series, I had often wondered why the 3D animation that was used for the battle shell vehicle (1:47) wasn't used more often for seasons 1 through 4. It’s Defferent Bewteen The 80’s Cartoon And The 2003 The Characters That We’re The 80’s Cartoon Like Vernon Irma Rocksteady And Bebop Krang Are Not In This Version And Stockman Is Also Black Again Like In The Comics And He’s Not A Fly
The difference between 1987 and 2003 is that 2003 TMNT actually USE their weapons intead of just silly gags and comedy material. I like the 1987 version but I love the 2003 version even more.
Never liked these designs. The art style at least. I hated all cartoons that looked like this. Liked the shows at first but then they became unwatchable. From men in black to Jackie Chan adventures.
How could you not like the designs and art style of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003 animated series? It had impressive animation, voice acting and action and a lot of fans (including myself) really liked it a lot.
@@HyperSonicXtreme The 2012 series wasn't that bad. At first, I didn't think it was going to be any good to watch, but when I had first watched the 1-hour pilot episode "Rise of the Turtles", I enjoyed every second and every minute of it.
I wish the costume makers who made those turtles costumes had made those costumes look like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles of the 1987 animated series instead of making those costumes look like the 2003 version of the Teenage Mutant Turtles. you know, made the fabric of the costumes out of the exact same green color fabric, and also used the exact same yellow fabric for the yellow plastrons, and made the turtle heads with the exact same happy face expresssion, and still made different colored blue, purple, red, and orange headband masks and matching different colored elbow and knee pads and wrist bands, AND still made the belts with the exact same brown leather or fabric with sculpted plastic belt buckles with their initials of their names on the belt buckles. now that definitely would have been more appropriate for the 25th anniversary national tour. and i also wish the costume makers had made the April O'neil costume at 0:15 look better than that. like made the jumpsuit more a darker yellow with solid white leather boots, and had someone else who looks like a life-like version of the character of April O'neil of the 1987 animated series to wear the April yellow jumpsuit costume and white boots with the sleeves rolled up half-way up her arms and made her hairstyle look exactaly just like how April's hairstyle looked of the 1987 animated series!
