Hello, welcome to Garage Restoration On this channel you will find restorations of tools, instruments, devices, with simple methods, which anyone can do at home . But also something more complicated at a high level just for the sake of astonishing you.
My specialty is CNC operator \\ programmer and I want to bring you my mechanics, learned in the workshops of fine mechanics factories. The pieces are sometimes taken from you, or from scrap metal, or from flea markets. With this channel I want to bring you new ideas, about how you can fix old things yourself :)
Follow me on facebook and Instagram, I also post there every day.
Don't forget to subscribe and click on the bell, a like if you liked it and a dislike if you didn't like it, I'm waiting for your opinions in the comments.
@@GarageRestoration I forgot about this comment I’m an industrial electrician and the company I’m at most the time basically uses me as a glorified maintenance man anyway I asked them to stick my old axe in one of their blasters n they said they did something similar the week before and the rust mixed in and dyed everything lmaooooo
Shiny is a must in restorations. I like to do my restorations as new as possible too. Some people like patina, I like shiny. Mad work on the mirror polish.
FAKE ROST!!!
Really cool job, mate. As you asked for comment, maybe a better camera or lighting would improve the quality of the shot on the milling part. Maybe I'll say some dumb staff in here, but since I've got here from the collab you made with TysyTube on that waffle maker, maybe copying some of his filmaking style, studio or something could make your channel grow more. That is... if you want to. I don't know. It was just a thought. Great work. And thank you for putting out a great content.
When using acidic rust removal like vinegar it’s important to wash it off the tool after soaking or if it’s something delicate to rinse it in a base bath of baking soda and water to stop the acid from eating the good parts.
Very satisfying! What lacquer do you recommend to prevent rust build up on hand tools? Edit I've seen you bluing can this be applied on already on non aluminum?
