All things related to functional fitness. Especially if you are not young anymore. Join me on the journey I started when I was 40, a journey to become functionally fit, to be better than last year, to be better than average.
Hiya can you please help me out, I have fenix 6 and it keeps reporting a average speed and heartbeat through my phone. Any idea how to switch this feature off? It reports only in activity mode.
Unlike in your video, when I discard an activity, it does not show all activities again. It stays stuck in the one I picked, in my case "walk." Others have had this problem as well. Any solutions?
Sorry friend. I have watched the video again and don't see the place I did that. Could you tell me the time marker where you struggle to see what I have done? Thanks.
It is a legacy setting still left over from when watches suffered from low memory. Having it set to every second, you up the data points it stores and give you more accurate data. The "smart" option will only save a data point such as direction, speed or pace if it changes significantly. Giving you a smoother, yet more inaccurate data set.
Hello from Ouray, Colorado….home of the Hardrock 100 ultra marathon. My running days are over as I am a broken army guy now. But, I can still walk and hike and ride a bicycle! New subscriber here! Thank you very much for this informative video! I am a new Felix 7x pro owner! It is probably more watch than I need. But, maybe it can help motivate me to try to mend my body and get back into some other physical activities. So far, in 2.5 months, I have dropped 35 pounds by doing at least 10000 steps per day ( averaged 15000 in May).
Good job Alan. Yes, having a tool like this can be very motivating for some. Especially if you love data, and the challenge it gives you to try and improve your stats.
Awesome tutorial mate, i learned something tonight. I've owned my Garmin fenix 7x pro sapphire solar for about 5 months now, and it's definitely a learning curve coming from a G Shock Mudmaster. Thanks again
I brought my Garmin fenix 7x pro sapphire solar back in December, and compared to my old G Shock Mudmaster, it's light years ahead. I've had to learn the ins and outs which to be honest was a little daunting but have come through the other side with my ego still in tact. Awesome review mate
By the way i would ask 2 questions please : 1:There is a white alert screen, that appears after every lap in Run activity(when auto lap is on). Is this white aria is changeable to black? I had FR55 before and it was better. -----2: There is a defaultlike data screen in Run activity, that shows HR Jauge +Total time or distance (on top) & Foot pace + time on the bottom. Is this also editable as we decide or imposed by Garmin? Merci
Even though my watch is not a year old yet, I also sometimes have issues with the charger not connecting to the watch. I do think that it is a better solution than USB C, and I understand the need to be able to connect with a cable to have the connection with a PC, and not go pure wireless. But yes, sometimes it does not work. I think if they made the connection just a fraction deeper it would be better.
Hi Maddman I copied my normal running activity and renamed it 'zone 2'. Then I set one of the data fields to heart rate gauge. I also set heart rate alerts for that activity.
Thank you for an awesome walk through of the Garmin Fenix Pro. I had been looking for awhile. I purchased the Garmin fenix 7x pro sapphire solar two months ago and had been a G Shock wearer for years. So thank you again
Can these watches (Garming) be/act like a Samsung Galaxy watch? Like you know, the second you get a text or any other type of message the watch would vibrate and let you know right there and then?
Hi Chris. Yes. Although not all the smart watch capabilities like a Samsung Galaxy watch. You can get notifications from apps, texts and calls. And if you have an Android phone paired with the watch, you can reply to the texts as well. You can even see your phone calendar, make cardless payments with Garmin pay, control the music on your phone, load songs on the watch to play directly and connect to some services such as Spotify. But because the watch does not have e-SIM capabilities, most of these features only work when your watch is in range of your phone. This is a sports watch first and foremost, and a smart watch second.
very informative. I just ordered my Fenix 7 Pro, and your video even without one in front of me are going to enable me to get up and running sooner. Well explained , thank you
