Great information we had a reliable awning company come out. However, I didn't feel comfortable with how they would secure the retractable awning approximately 12 x 19 through the brick veneer looking for a solid beam or stud. The other option was to permanently fix the awning with poles removing and installing the canvas cover during the seasons seems silly and more work. So we are leaning towards the Costco Yardisary 12 x20 cedarwood Gazebo for approx $3299 and $1600 for installation.
That's a safe bet if you're in an area like the Carolinas where you can get storms that roll in with a quickness! All of our retractable awnings do come with wind sensors as a safeguard.
