Hi there! Sorry for the late reply. Most of the time we stay over at my in-laws’ place. We have tried Ashton Karimun City Hotel and Hotel Maximilian and we prefer Hotel Maximilian.
Hi! So far I have yet to see a taxi in Balai but we have taken a few times with private drivers that ferry passengers for a fee. After we clear immigration, there will be people asking if you need a taxi. We tell the private driver our destination, and the he will quote us his fee, so far so good for us.
